I can see why everyone eats out - it's no more expensive when it's $10 for a Burrito bigger than your head.

But lets be fair, in your case that isn't a particularly large burrito!
    I haven't brought one, as I already have a CR1 Team bike

But this is the SL - THE SL!!!!!!!

You see. Apart from me the only ones that haven't bought one have already got one. I tried to tell the wife about the emotional trauma this was causing but, strangely, it didn't wash.

    I havent. I'm poor.

I might have to sell a kidney (or the EPO's at the very least)

Two words. First word four letters, rhymes with duck. Second work three letters, sounds like toff.

Saying that, if it was Hollowtech II & 27.2 seat post I'd be all over it. Can't be bothered adding the cost of a carbon seatpost and chainset.

Oh who am I kidding, could always put in storage and build next year...

I haven't got one, and as I'm a sucker for a bargain, it is paining me to watch them all go!!

In saying that, I have my beautiful matt black carbon Felt, and I'm loving it. I think the superior frame would be wasted on me, and I'd have to get someone else to build it for me, thereby reducing the percentage saved. That's my stance and I'm sticking to it!!

I think Asprilla has one of those matt black Felts.
Actually now that these Scotts are two a penny maybe people will realise it's a Scott.

I am happy with what I have, thanks very much.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

If anyone's bought one and is using an LBS or a proper drift to remove/replace the BB without breaking the bearings (ie if you're changing to a SRAM/FSA/Campag chainset), let me know and I'll exchange some beer notes for the BB as the one on my R3 is a bit ropey and needs replacing.

According to Epic cycles it may just work.

Or run it with sks raceblades, as the guy at Epic does

its still annoying me that i havent bought one.
  • I was thinking about buying one
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
  • I've only been into MTBing so far and really want an excuse to get a road bike and these Scott frames appear to have canine testicular qualities that would make them a great first foray into tarmac-specific riding. I'd love to get one but....

We have a recently adopted two year old boy
I already have two bikes currently in bits in the throes of being rebuilt
Just bust my netbook so need to replace that
Lost my regular glasses last week so need to get some new ones

In a year's time it might just have been feasible

Well, you are running out of time to not order a CR1 SL : out of more sizes now.

I've not ordered one and told my wife proudly that I had resisted the temptation. Instead of focusing on the £1500 that I would have saved and the further £500 that I saved by not buying it - hence saving the family £2k, she asked me: "Do we have £500 spare cash floating around then?" That was a bit awkward...
