Evans is a sly old dog. He's played a bit of a stalking horse coming into the Giro.

    Equal 4th according to Sky.

    Showed 5th on screen.

Great 2nd half from Wiggins. Pump those TT legs.

No where near the Tour *performance* but good none the less.

Great comeback, but is it enough?

Good second half performance... doesn't make up for the crap 1st half though - disappointing overall.

Hope Dowsett takes the stage win.
  • Chapeau to Wiggo for that 2nd half, dug deep.

That 2nd split time couldn't be right, eh.. Almost gained 1 minute on the last 3km.

    Probably right, though.

Good recovery, the bike change would take account of the 10 seconds. However, I'm not convinced Dowsett will win the stage - to be honest I'm surprised how well he did on a technical lumpy course.

Maybe there is something on the working on his climbing? That was a very strong finish.

Indeed. Well done to the man. If he's feeling ropey. Had to have a bike change and took those corners on that nasty descent at the beginning carefully, that is a good time. Let's see what Evans can do.

While Wiggo did a nice job bringing that time gap down, this was his day to put minutes into everyone. Not seconds.

Considering his terrible bambi on ice cornering and the bike change that's not a bad effort.
