what tyres are you using? lots of discussion on Slowtwitch at the moment on best tyres to use on a firecrest front
where have you stashed the di2 battery?
Di2 battery fits inside frame behind the BB. It's part of the design. One of the reasons I chose the bike - EVERYTHING is internal!
Tyres - I run Schwalbe TT tubular 99% of the time and for really special days, Vittoria Chrono tubs.0 -

^--- This.
There's a tutorial online about how to wire in a set of Cat Eye buttons. It's a pain as you have to cut the Di2 wires and splice it all together (and the wires x 4 are the width of a fart). Either that or skip the brake suiters or mutilate the regular Di2 brake shifters and glue the pods onto the Magura brake levers.0 -

just a thought, but do UCI regs require you to carry your bottle on the frame?
only mounted between the arms would probably be more aero0 -

Yes - I believe they do require the bottle on the frame.
However, I stated before... I never actually race with a bottle. It's totally unnecessary for 10 or 25 mile TTs.0 -
Beautiful machine.
Hey Col, was there a reason you went with a sram crank and cassette rather than keeping it all dura ace?The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

It's a Rotor crank, not Sram. And it's an SRM - power meter. I swap it from bike to bike.
Most of my cassettes are Sram because they are better (IMO) than the Dura Ace ones. Lighter and longer lasting. And I get them cheaper than my Shimano stuff0 -
Yikes, that's insane. Awesometick - tick - tick0

Colin,
Any chance we can see your non-drive side pedal?

As a side note, went for a bike fit and some aero testing this week. New position on the bike (assuming it actually works) should keep me planted a bit more firmly in the saddle and yield me an extra 20w in aero savings! Looking forward to trying it out this week.
Plus did some power testing and the QXL rings don't suit me so going back to regular Q-Rings for increased pedalling efficiency.
On the plus side, the Maclaren helmet is more aero than a Bambino0 -

I d keep away from those events if I was you Nap, theres pictures on a certain "Mountain Goats" FB account with you on rollers in the background and he literally looks like he's exiting your arse.
If he spent more time with his head down and not filming everything he d be one hell of a rider0 -

That has got to be the Coolest/Fastest looking TT bike in the Country.
Makes the Pinarello Bolide look like a Brick.
Do the Maguras just fit the frame no probs or is there a bit of custom fettling going on there Colin?
Sorry haven't read all the previous posts, I know you ve done a lot of work to get it to this optimum development point.0
