I'll wait till someone asks why to explain.
Cos unlike races like flanders where all the roads are within an hour drive from the start, San Remo is far too far away from Milan to be practical.0 -

Not sure if its geo restricted but its quite a light little documentary about La Primavera, in Dutch but with English from Cav.
It is worth it for Pozzato's bizarre comments about spring and women's hormones alone! He really is such a clown.
I'm tempted to pick him for PTP sh*ts and giggles.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Careful there: I nearly indulged in large helping of Poncey Pozzato mockery last year going into Flanders. Was glad I kept my trap shut...0 -

Let us not forget that only god can judge him.
I'm not mocking his talent on the bike, just his character off it. I was thinking of picking him for want of someone other than Sagan, Cancellara or Cav, just to be be different but I needed an added reason, Pippo has happily provided that reason.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Are we all making up for the loss of KBK? Rest of early season so far has been good, except oomloop, imho.0 -
I'm not doing PTP but I'd really like Griepel to get this one. Good effort by the Gorilla in T-A last week particularly bearing in mind the gradients that race has to offer. Maybe just maybe if the race is back together after the Poggio...0

Anyone think Boonen could be slipping under the radar for this one?“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Him and his whole team. It goes without saying that if Cavendish is near the leaders over the Poggio, the chances are he'll possibly also still have Boonen, Chav, Kwiatkowski nearby, too: suddenly the Sagan option will look a bit shaky...
But even those 3 without Cav are going to cause problems - especially the way they were riding at Paris-Nice (plus Terpstra). Same with BMC - some serious fire-power - especially Hushovd: seemingly on an ascendancy of form from T.A, with a big point to prove - and being a gnarly old hard-nut who'll relish the forecast shitey conditions...0 -
Every team without a sprinter in their ranks knows that if they drive the race hard on the Le Manie climb then Cavendish et al will probably be dropped and find it difficult to get back to the front of the race. I'm sure a few teams will be prepared to sacrifice a rider or two to attempt this.0

No.
If it's a strong headwind he might, and it's a big might, be in the front group / peloton when they hit 1km to go. That's abouf it.
If Cav is in the group with Boonen I wouldn't be surprised to see him work for Cav post Poggio.0 -

Would expect to see Cannondale and Astana at the very least doing this.
If the forecast tailwind is there, a break could work too.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0
