Great ride by the pair. Team pursuit a bit of a let down but that shows how far British track cycling has come that I think of a silver in the team pursuit as a bit disappointing!

With you on this Pross. They never looked as drilled as usual, a few basic errors crept in, and the Aussies were hungrier for the gold. Slower times probably due to slightly earlier in the season and the foul weather in Minsk. Bet they didn't crank up the heating...!

As Ed Clancy said in his pre-race BBC chat: "If it all goes great we get a gold medal, if it doesn't then at least it did when it really mattered." Sums it up.

Good for him. He's really getting the results lately.

  • Fingers and toes crossed for Becky...
  • Becky bronze, I reckon.
Once again shafted (3rd time this season) for a nice shiny new jersey by Lee.

    Glasgow here we come

Excellent ride again by Becky, showed excellent basic speed yesterday and very good sprint endurance today so looks very promising for the sprint and keirin although they always make me nervous as tactics are so important.

As for the pursuiters, they looked like old hands even with Elinor in the team - no panic when the Aussies got off to a flyer despite what happened with the men yesterday.

Owain Doull racing now so another Welsh medal coming up

I don't think many riders get more out of their talent than Martyn Irvine. Pure courage.

I don't know if Frenchie ever awards True Champion status to track riders but if he does that deserves it!
