No, men are romantic fools, we will generally have an idea in our head of something awesome, that invariably, the women don't appreciate at all. He's certainly not likely of just telling you "listen up, biatch, THIS, is what I want you to do on valentines"

Very likely of they are both from Huddersfield...... see what I did there, gimme 6 although the action you describe would have been pretty difficult I would imagine given the webbed nature of their hands

He got called shitpicker cos he once picked up a dog turd and threw it at school bus as it went past. If anything webbed hands would be an advantage for this activity.
  • Bumfingers was called bumfingers because...........................I think you can probably guess
And he was the bum part of said act so webbed hands wouldn't impede

Right well, finally broached the subject of Valentines day...well it came up sort of.

He said he was busy with work all week and would be working late so he could have a day off next weekend. Fair enough, I thought, until he said he was going bouldering with his brother on Thursday night?!!
so being nice I said that I was only going to suggest a boulder anyway and perhaps we could all go together (I don't do PDAs really so would not make his bro feel like a spare part). He was like 'we will see'.

So I am waiting to see what happens, but if he does not pull something out of the bag or make it up to me at the weekend he is in the dog house big time!

Don't worry. Valentine's Day is a corporate con by card companies who prey on the weak minded to peddle a load of worthless, meaningless tripe which would have been better off left as trees.

If I were you I'd relax a bit and get some Findus lasagne in for one. Happy days.

if he is not then you had better be off doing something on March 14.

If bouldering with his brother is a euphemism then surprise may be a huge understatement.

Well, some of us work in "the media", and like to get a blowy off our girlfriends. So yeah, it's at least partially a media thing.

To be fair, I don't see a prob as it's early days for you, but then my 5th anniversary with Mrs G I went to a corporate lap dancing day and spent 400 quid on 10 quid lap dances so maybe I'm not the best moral compass on this matter

Unfortunately 'we will see' generally means no.

funnily enough I had a similar conversation with the wife & brother but it went in the complete different direction.

Wife said she wasn't bothered about doing anything (in the genuine way and not the you had better f**kin surprise me way) big bonus :D . Had been speaking to my brother and mentioned a ride out on the trails on Thursday morning (only day we are both off) to get the reply Oh, Thursday is valentines day isn't it?

Feckin homo, can't even go for a morning ride out.
