Yeah, it's peak season for the South American based teams so you would expect them to be in better shape which will counteract their relatively lower ability.
    Yes. :!:
Christ I beat the National Sprint Champion on a gallop into Brighton on one January.

The Lucky Lads/Lasses go to these warm climates for "Training" and what better way to train than have a bit of competition.
The real competition comes when the European season gets started.

Sagan was riding yday - down 2mins. So either suffering from crash or too many cakes over Christmas.

Super ride from Nibali. Shame he was behind on stage 3

TJ was pointed out by the big guns and he is showing

Two San Luis Somos Todos riders in the top 10 on a TT vs the big guns

Kwiatkowski continues his goos showing from last year. One to look out for.

The Fox news coverage that you can find on cyclingfans (the videos of the stages) are simply terrible. The commentators spend half the time discussing stupid things like "the beautiful moon" and the "warm temperature" (i.e. international propaganda) and the other half spoiling the entire race. Most of the times they keep talking about who won right from the start, and how X, Y and Z attacked and failed or lost time or whatever.

If you zoom to the end of the stage, for example, on a bunch sprint, you start paying attention at all the riders and trains and whatever, wondering who's going to win, and they instantly spoil you (oh, they're doing this for X but Y won the sprint anyways, Z placed second and X only placed tenth). I usually like commentary but this is one race I simply can't watch with volume on because it's just ridiculous. If I wanted to be spoiled I'd just look at the results.

Such a shame we can't get coverage or even a decent description of how it unfolded.

A good climb by all accounts with another great one to come.

These San Luis boys are doing very well...will put it down to motivation, peak form and local knowledge.

Nibali off the pace some but not too much. JVB ok. Contador at the front end as expected. TJ right up there with him.

JRod right towards the end but I suppose he doesn't care to race at all for this stupid Katusha team.

Good to see Deignan in the mix. He is pretty motivated this season.

    Hope for fireworks tomorrow.

I see a BMC so guessing that is TJ. Doubt GC will change now, all about the stage win. Contador won twice in 2012.
