'The news came in the early afternoon. Nacer Bouhanni will not be on the next Tour de France. On "lequipe.fr" the French team of FDJ.fr explained he was disappointed but not dejected: "It's like this ... the leaders of FDJ.fr have made their choice and I respect their decision even if I can be disappointed as the Tour passed this year in the Vosges. But I will not cry because I was not selected for the Tour. starting now, I will focus on the French Championships and enjoy my current form to try to achieve a good performance. "
Following on, it is still vague ... Nacer Bouhanni confessed at the beginning of June: "If I re-sign with the FDJ.fr, I will do the Tour." This also meant that if he does not then he will leave ?
Bouhanni hesitates between several offers, including Cofidis and Cannondale, and will reveal the name of his next team after the France championship to be held Sunday. '
More from L'Equipe:
The explanation of Marc Madiot: "We had a frank and direct conversation when I called to tell him he would not the Tour. It is always difficult. We will focus on the Championship of France. The situation does not change the strategy. The important thing is that the title remains in the team. "
Out of contract at FDJ.fr Nacer Bouhanni posed conditions for the next season: between 1.5 and 1.7 million euros per year for a two-year contract, teammates in his service, a locked calendar for conventional (San Remo, GP E3, Ghent - Wevelgem). Cofidis, Cannondale, Omega Pharma-Quick Step and AG2R are in the running.
The explanation of Marc Madiot: "I do not despair of finding a budget to keep Nacer but I do not have it today. There are several chances to see him stay in the team. "0 -

Demare's first tour though. No Offredo though and they work well together . I'd have put Chavannel in as well after Giro0 -

It's a shame Jens isn't going, he's always good value. I am glad the Shlecks aren't going, based upon current form.0 -

No-one has said Jens isn't going. I would be very surprised if the three spots still available didn't go to Jens and the Schlecks!0 -

Apologies. I mis-read.
Well I hope the Sclecks don't get the spots. They've done nothing to deserve them.0 -
The names of the three riders who will complete the team will be announced from 1pm Central European Time time on Wednesday, "out of respect to our European fans (who have likely gone to sleep)," read the team's Twitter account.Contador is the Greatest0

Found a great primer with all the World Tour teams (and plenty of other info on top). I'm pumped.

Belkin:
Lars Boom, Stef Clement, Laurens Ten Dam, Steven Kruijswijk, Tom Leezer, Bauke Mollema, Bram Tankink, Sep Vanmarcke et Maarten Wynants.
"We want to repeat the good performance last year," said sports director of the team, Nico Verhoeven, in the statement. "Bauke is our leader. Laurens has an important role. We will protect him so he can save energy to help Bauke the mountain. If this puts him in a good position for the general classification, we won't sacrifice it. The Tour is long and anything can happen. Even with Bauke. On the Tour of Switzerland we had 7 guys who will be there on the Tour de France. They were at a very high level in Switzerland. Bauke finished third overall. and was close to a stage win twice, which gives us a lot of confidence, "he continued.
"I feel as good as last year at the same time, maybe even a little better," said Bauke Mollema. "However, this does not automatically mean that I will get better results. I really like the course this year because there are many steps that end at the top. Besides a good overall, my goal is to win a stage. I will certainly do my best to win, "concluded the Belkin leader.0 -

If selected won't that means he ties the record participations in the Tour ? Just a little bell rings about that or maybe I'm wrong; will have to check
Edit:
Yup, ties with O'Grady and Big George (17)0 -

Sorry, but the Schlecks are shite. I cannot believe Trek couldn't find two more in form riders.0

Tbh not sure it has much to do with performance. Frank may get an ok placing. Andy may give them some exposure/publicity. Little else.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Yep, should get some quality TV coverage of Andy in Trek kit going out the back on a climb a few seconds after the sprinters. The TV producers seem to think it is still worthy of showing. I suspect if he's still riding next year the novelty will have worn off and we won't see him at all. Such as shame as he was an exciting rider to watch.0 -
Anyone know when Oleg is announcing his full team? I think it will be very strong so geniunely interested to see it.0
