I think everyone's overlooked the most important news:

    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/tour-de-france-coverage-shown-7331570

So if Phil and Paul get too much, there's now an option on freeview TV

Also there will be WiFi tractors on the first 2 stages to give people net access at some of the more popular spectator spots heh

nice to see they have gone for non aero wheels - quite a fork rake though

Came across a recent exhibition of tour de france memorabilia. It was at Marsham a village near me. A guy has been going to the tour for years and here he's show casing some of his collection.http://youtu.be/Odnw6A6ApeQ

This seems as good as any place to put this

Huge feature on Froome in L'Equipe

Edit: Forgot to mention, for those non-French readers, there's a lot of video in English

There's a chance, but there's quite a few people vying it for it. Depends on the form of a few outsiders and how strong some of the super doms are this time around.

Stil going on about the crash for over 2 years ago and still fails to mention that he was very poor before that same crash in Dauphine.

This is a much better looking team than last years. ATC hitting you with the all important analysis.

That's the weakest team they have had for a few years, especially with Porte's form. The pressure is going to be on Nieve for sure.

Leaving aside the whole Wiggo debate, that looks like a fairly balanced team to me. Good to see Eisel and Pate in there.

Agreed. Not too many spindly men, people to control things before it gets lumpy. It actually looks like a team.

It's a good idea to pick the most rabidly anti-doping rider in the peloton too.

    Decent team I'd suggest.

I see the Porte is rubbish thing still persists.

Bernie and G for cobbled protection

I am hoping for some quality Tour twitter action from the Pate.

I think the new BC/Sky divide is evident in the selection.

Only one british rider from a BC background.

    Shame really.

Didn't think Bernie or Pate would be in, but glad they are.

Bernie as Road Captain takes a lot of pressure off G who can fully concentrate on the role EBH did for Wiggins that was sadly lacking last year (mainly due to Kirienka's ejection admittedly)

I know he will be seen as Brads guy, but I really think Knees would be a better pick than Pate. No criticism of Pate, he will in all likelihood get his job done but Knees looks to be exceptional at protecting a leader at the front of the flat stuff

Still should have had Wiggins in, probably for Zandio

Absolutely not saying that, I think Porte is an excellent rider and probably one of the best super domestiques around. But this year he has been hit by illness and is not showing the form of the last couple of years. Last year he was immense.
