Is that Richie Porte on the left??? :P It looks like a kid riding alongside them, albeit a kid in full team kit...
Could also be Nieve, he's quite teeny weeny (although I think Porte is titchier) and both had full-length tights on during the training ride.

Matthews is officially out. Replaced by Christian Meier who was in Las Vegas apparently.

    Meh :(

The TdF will be all the poorer for missing his uber dancing skills.

Map showing where's the greatest likelihood of seeing cows in France during this year’s Tour.
    It'll be 'vachement difficile'.
Only a few brief chances - about a third of the way through stage 4, halfway through stages 7 and 18, and the beginning of stage 19.
(The green shows the main cow areas, the black line shows the rough Tour route)

Cow lovers obviously need to push Monsieur Prudhomme for moo-re Tour stages through Burgundy and the Massif Central.

Lack of Impey strange, but hey ho.

Yellow on stage 2 is between someone on OGE and Sagan. You heard it here first

Kristoff a good bet too if he is going well IMO.

Indeed. We must have at least one beautiful horse again this year.

I was out today also and was baking in shorts and short sleeve jersey. Do pros have an aversion to sunshine or something? They must have been rather snug in all of that lot.

You should know by now that the pros only take their legwarmers off for stages like the Stelvio.

Froome today. What an awful helmet.

Come on, the race hasn't even started yet. You can't go calling him names like that already. I'm sure he's nice when you get to know him!

You should know that it's quite a bit cooler up North than in the South East today and there's rain about. It's not exactly cold at 16-17 degrees but a lot cooler than it has been. Tomorrow's forecast is pretty good though.

I'm guessing they working at such a low intensity that they risk getting cold from the windchill.

And from Laurens ten Dam's Strava data it was only 20C

Can anyone think of anyone (in any field) that has clung to their 15 minutes of fame as hard as Bassons has? A couple of one hit wonders maybe.

If he had a big issue with legitimate TUEs he should have raised it when he didn't have a book to flog? The self appointed guardian of ethics using other people's reputations for personal gain.

Of course he knows he can say anything he wants and no journalists will dare question him.

Are people really saying now that TUE's are akin doping, that your willingness to accept a TUE is proof of a willingness to dope?

Someone needs to just come out and say enough is enough now. It's gone too far. This is silly.

As for Bassons it really is quite sad that he feels the need to flog his book on the back of Froome's perfectly legitimate TUE and then justify his criticism by making up some psychological bunkum. It is equally sad that journalists would then just repeat such a position wholesale without questioning it, but then Fotheringham clearly dislikes Froome.

Fotheringham left out quite a lot of stuff that he said, that can be found elsewhere.

"Sky communicate in the same way as US Postal". OK, how exactly? And you can't speak english, can you?

"My father was a bricklayer. If he was ill he didn't take a pill. He went home and rested" Well your dad was a skiver then.

"We are now seeing riders with thin muscles producing big power". You don't need big muscles to produce 400W. Teenagers can do it - they just can't maintain it.

But no-one will question it. There's now an anti-doping 'omerta' in the media where no-one is willing to say to the likes of Bassons or Vayer - sorry, but this is b0llocks.
