Really should do some work on my Bonneville, need more time. Still regret selling my old one, it''s not much more complicated than a bicycle.

I like this too, Triumph Bonneville Bobber.0 -
WFH in the garden - lovely. Taken the opportunity to substitute the office 4pm booze trolley on a Thursday with my own cocktail. Tom Collins today, as it's a bit warm.0

Not so easy to do in the city. 😉The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Back on track. Booking a week off work in July and a week off work in August, both coinciding with heatwaves.
My next week off work starts Monday 12th September FYI.The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Watching the European Swimming champs in Rome. It's being held in an open air pool. Looks so much nice than some anonymous indoor venue.0

Yep, love outdoor pools, it's a completely different thing. Smashing tree's in the background.0

Possibly the grinniest walk I've ever had, after massive rain most of this morning... just went up the Ravin des Charoses, which has been the scene of much pompier action over the last nine days... I expected to see devastation, but apart from a few totally scorched portions, somehow great chunks of it have survived seemingly untouched, despite in one place where the fire had scorched trees on the other side of the access track. Had my mum still been alive, I'd have been ringing her up to tell her.
Also amused that one of the pompiers heard my English accent when I was thanking some of them, wondered if I was the English bloke who was putting up lots of photos that his wife had been avidly following, and then asked for a selfie with me. Haha. Wasn't even five minutes of fame, but I'll take whatever I get at my age.

My newly fitted MTB dropper seatpost.
New toys for the bike/s are always nice but typically they offer gains that are either minor, nuanced or placebo.
Turns out a dropper post fundamentally opens a Pandora’s box of enhanced mtb riding.
Tonked down stuff I’d been too chicken to go down previously and proper pushing the bike with new abandon on technical sections.1 -
