I have literally heard every tall joke going. My mates would also get random people at the pub to come and ask me every 5 mins "what's the weather like up there?".pinno said:0 -

I had a mate years back that was huge, I'm not short at 6'2", but this guy was a giant next to me. One of the local dickheads saw him with me in the pub once and asked if I'd bought my body guard because I was so puny, this guy was an inch or so taller than me and thought he was something special. Big mate picked him up with one hand, Darth Vader style. The guy absolutely shat himself and grovelled his apologies, offering to buy us each a pint. We declined the offer and laughed as he scuttled off.0 -

I saw a bloke walking around my nearest town a few years ago wearing a t-shirt saying something like "before you ask I'm 6'10".elbowloh said:

I'm also 6'2" and when I first started singing a few years back I joined a musical theatre group which had someone who was 6'9". I never felt that much shorter than him but then had to do a duet with him and saw some rehearsal photos. I looked tiny. It didn't help that he always wore ridiculously skinny jeans which somehow made him look even more lanky.veronese68 said:

Getting a good offer on our house (accepted) and having 2 good houses in our price range come on the market on the same day. Maybe not trivial for me but it did cheer me up..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]5

I hope that smile stays on your face until you are actually sat on your sofa in your new home. The period until then can be very stressful. Good luck.Stevo_666 said:Getting a good offer on our house (accepted) and having 2 good houses in our price range come on the market on the same day. Maybe not trivial me but it did cheer me up...

We got a good price and the buyers are chain free (and not in a rush) which should put us in a good position for buying. Unfortunately with the market as strong as it is, it's an understatement to say there are not many bargains to be had!rick_chasey said:Market's hot, make the most of it.

I said should.
TBF, the main problem was our Solicitor who was just unresponsive and slow and told the agents and out sellers everyone there was a delay that it was us not returning paperwork when in fact we had never been sent it.
Hope yours is ok and goes smoothly!1 -

And you'll need a waxed Barbour jacket... and some tweed... and a range rover and a Belfast sink and do your bit for the environment by adopting 40 unemployed Fox Hounds.

Never knew Brabus did V12 transplants on those things (not sure why as the V8 biturbo is good for silly amounts of power and torque), but that's just trendy SUV type thing so my bargepole will never touch it. Surely a V8 'C-wagon' is close enough?Wheelspinner said:
