Market's hot, make the most of it.

We got a good price and the buyers are chain free (and not in a rush) which should put us in a good position for buying. Unfortunately with the market as strong as it is, it's an understatement to say there are not many bargains to be had!

    Couple of viewings now arranged.
Our buyers were time buyers and our vendors were retiring to their second home in Scotland, so should have been quick and hassle free.

    I said should.

TBF, the main problem was our split who was just unresponsive and slow and told the agents and out sellers everyone there was a delay that it was us not returning paperwork when in fact we had never been sent it.

Hope yours is ok and goes smoothly!
    Thanks Elbow.

Fingers crossed - there are usually a few wrinkles along the way that need dealing with. Next job is to find the house we want to buy - headed out later to try and do just that.
Make sure there's lots of storage so that wifey can stuff them full of... stuff.
Deep down it's some sort of emotional compensation for putting up with you but we won't go into that.

Probably the same as currently. Might buy a new pair of wellies if there a lot of horse/cow shyte.
But there are wellies and there are wellies.
And you'll need a waxed Barbour jacket... and some tweed... and a range rover and a Belfast sink and do your bit for the environment by adopting 40 unemployed Fox Hounds.
Also add your wife's sir name so that it's double barrelled.

    I'll see you right.
This is Stevo you’re talking about? Range Rover pffffft.

He’ll get this. V12 and all.

True story, my friend's neighbour when I growing up (in the '90s) used to tinker and build cars in his front garden.

Anyway, he juiced up a range rover, took it to Germany, flipped it with the whole family in it.

does the 3 weeks apply to 2nd jab? I am sure Pfizer was pretty much instant on the 2nd.

edited to add that a quick Bing suggests 7-14 days so you have missed at least one week of gallivanting

IIRC, they are saying that it's still two or three weeks till after 2nd jab for Indian variant.

The blurb I got was back in late Feb before the Indian variant was known about, but fortunately I'm already past that point anyway.

I'm sure I remember seeing some slalom test track footage of one of them up on two wheels on every turn. I suppose inevitable with that weight, high centre of gravity and squashy suspension.

Parents evening by video last night.
Fooking awesome. Have appointed time, teacher appears at that time, disappears at end time whether finished or not.

I think this one may well stick. The standing around in a crowded hall playing spot the teacher and an appointment system in name only must surely be a deserving victim of Covid.

Rode 3rd TT of the year last night having not done any for a few years.
First negative split and first time not going completely into red in first 5 mins with a doomed and feeble attempt to emulate Ganna.

Still slow but that’s down to fitness rather than execution.

Yes, I was impressed, too. The science teacher obviously hadn't quite got the hang of it and started with a bit of chit-chat about the weather then ran out of time, but everyone else was spot on.

Downloaded the NHS app and not only do I have a covid passport but can reorder my prescriptions. Has this always been there? am starting to wonder if my GP asked me to fax things to extract the urine becuase I was not using the app

Think it depends on the GP practice and which online services provider they use. My previous lot (v well organised) used SystmOnline which included booking appointments. Current practice, also pretty good, asked me to use the NHS app (not that"world beating" track and trace thing for clarity) but their set up doesn't include appts, possibly due to the covid procedures, does include prescription reordering.

I do foresee a time when it will be 'show us the QR vacc code or you ain't coming in here'.

I'll actually need to remember to slap on the sun cream for the longish ride on Monday...
