Can't help thinking Contador has been too keen to make every stage and every finishing mountain hard all the way. Maybe if he'd sat back and let Valverde or Froome attack and say to J-Rod there you go close that one down yourself it'd have worked better. As it is Contador has worked harder than J-Rod trying to crack him - but in the process he's done the job of controlling the race and meant the red jersey has only had to control Contador.
