Any further in the closet and you'd in Narnia, dude. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

Huh?
No He's right there is a massive difference. The one riding to work rides becasue he enjoys it.
The commuter rides becasue it gives him a self satisified air of awesomeness to look down on everyone else. The commuter then wonders why everyone thinks he's a massive Pr1ck. Commuters can be distinguished by things like Day Glo Jackets and (in particular) Helmet Cams. A commuter will upload sections of his 10k commute onto Strava where as someone who rides to work would not consider a 10km road route a ride. He also uses it as a status symbol to look down on everyone else at his place of work. For example the following coversation:-
Commuter - Yeah I'm totally hardcore becasue I rode in in the rain! Look at my obviously massive schlong that I ve got because I rode in the rain. Some one nearly kncoked me off and I spent most of the time standing still at trafic lights or going so slowly that I may as well have been walking becasue the traffic was so bad
Rider - Well I went yesterday in the sun, I rode for a few hours out in the countryside with the pretty birds and flowers and had a great time. I went on the MTB because there was this new bit on singletrack I found which I really enjoyed. Then I came back and had a beer and some bacons and shagged my missus
Commuter - whats a shagged?
Yeeha's status is as yet undetermined...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Well, I do ride to work, most days, but I generally encounter little or no traffic, since I take the scenic route which is more serene - it passes a couple of docks, a steam train track, and has a stunning view of the mountains. I do it because I'd rather be riding than doing anything else.
I do ride in the rain a lot, not because I have a big schlong (Which I do, naturally), but because I live in Wales, where "rain" is the default state for the weather.0 -
