Durbridge not putting in the ride I thought he would at the moment. But he's still capable of pulling it back over the second half.

GO CHAVANEL. First at first time check - that time has stood for ages. Hope he carries it to the finish.

Well one thing is for sure, the best stage race rider of this generation still has it, unsurprisingly.

Places 6th and only has TT specialists ahead of him

    1. S. Tuft GEC 00:20'25 51km/h
    2. T. Phinney BMC 00:20'30
    3. L. Westra VCD 00:20'43
    4. A. Malori LAM 00:20'44
    5. S. Chavanel OPQ 00:20'45
    6. A. Contador Velasco SAX 00:20'47
    7. L. Durbridge GEC 00:20'50
    8. J. Mouris GEC 00:20'51

Hell yes, when he looks back at his career that 6th place in a TT stage of the Eneco Tour is really going to stand out.

Sorry Frenchie, but i'm struggling to share your enthusiasm for the World class snoozefest.

At least we might have 5 minutes of excitement tomorrow when they climb the Muur.

    You miss the significance unsurprisingly.

You can also not watch or comment on this race if you don't like it and go back to watching riders from the BC Factory race round a track for less seconds than it takes me to pump my tires then to celebrate for 5x as long as the race lasts.

    Calm down.

The significance being that Contador is back and can TT OK? I think we already knew that.

I enjoyed this race last year actually, when you had Gilbert and EBH attacking and sprinting for bonus seconds, but this race has been rubbish.

The Muur times 3 and around the corner that descent for 3 times should keep you awake much longer if you are interested.

I just looked at the profile. You're right, it's not a bad little stage in prospect actually.

I don't hate sprinters stages as much as Iain, but 5 in a row in a 7 day race was too much.

Gold medal standard hypocracy! You were a regular poster/moaner about the Olympics track.

Ever thought of buying a track pump?

There was more of interest in every one of the track races at the Olympics than there has been all week in the Eneco Tour, hopefully today should be different.

Calm down, ladies. Today will be a great stage. Then the Vuelta, which could be one of the most exciting in history, is less than a week away. Things aint so bad you know.

Nope. The Valkenberg hill is in Belgium, Ronde van Vlaanderen territory. Valkenburg is a town in The Netherlands in Amstel Gold territory, and hosting the Worlds this year. Often confused, but nowhere near each other and in different countries.

    Haha, got it!

48km to go. Saxo turning up the pace and stringing them out. Contador has 4 riders with him.

Saxo stringing it out. Contador to attack on a course that doesnt favour him so much?
