Her gold medal fight was one of the most impressive performances I've seen in a long time, men or women. Controlled aggression, technically perfect, tactically brilliant and against the no. 2 seed. I'm going to watch it again today I think.road0 -

The very definition of MTFU.
Also, Rudisha's 800m was just spell-binidng. Apparently all 8 runners managed PBs, and Osagie, who came in 8th would have won the previous 3 Olympic 800m finals with his time. And Rudisha made it look so effortless.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Apparently, he can still get a medal! What a strange sport. And like Judo, a bit of a chore to watch.0 -

I found it quite fun to watch, but it is a bit weird with the new technology. I did Tae Kwon Do as a kid and it looks like a completely different sport now. Punching means nothing and it seems to be less of a martial art and more a foot based game of tig (that's tag to those from the south). I'm sure they're all hard as nails, but a toe lightly brushing the side of your cheek gets 3 points! Strange.
Unlucky with the BMX!0 -
