I had previously been under the impression that the 'hardest' sportmen were pro cyclists.

I have revised that opinion having watched the Women's gymnastics. Absolute nails.

I always love watching triathlon, but can't help thinking it would be better without the swimming and running bits.

The guy's a genius. Utterly ruthless. He did some something similar to Robert Scheidt in 2000, I think, by sailing him to the back of the race.

His interview with the BBC when he came off the water the day before yesterday is brilliant. "They've made me mad; they shouldn't have done that."

I see the british crowd has taken to shouting "G..B.....G..B.....G..B!" of late, in the style of the american "USA...USA...USA!"

I cringe when I hear it, but if they're gonna do it, should it not be "GBN...GBN...GBN!" or "GBNI...GBNI...GBNI!"?

    Prediction:

    1st. Blake
    2nd. Bailey
    3rd. Bolt

    The longest 10seconds ever.

    6-2, 6-1 up against Federer.

I'm not going to disagree with that. For Bolt it's all about the first 15m. And he hasn't looked great out of the blocks.

And much as I'd like to see Jamaica sweep the podium, I thin the US will spoil the party.

I may change my mind completely after the semis.

Yes and, according to Henman, he's "forcing Federer into making unforced errors", which is clever.

C'mon Ireland. Any sport. Any medal. Just one will do!

I see the BBC medal table is listing "GB and NI" in 3rd place rather than "Team GB"......

Must have wanted to include those rowing medals ;)

Awesome. I was stuck in work for reasons I will forever remain unhappy about. I'm a Liverpool fan, too, so wasn't happy.

For that reason, Blake and Bolt will maul everyone else. I even predict enough time for a cake stop at 60m. :D

9.60s sounds right. Can't see them going into the 9.50s.
