Schleckyweck about to go - big cheer from the crowd!

Michael Hutchinson has a weird accent...

Is the Hutch commentating? on eurosport?

Yes, mostly about the techy stuff.

Tech wise he's the bees knees. His column in the comic is poor. Nice to see he's on commentating on live tv though, would love to hear (rather than P&P show).

OK - bring on the top 10

I thought his column was mostly pretty good when i had a subscription (2010/11), it made me chuckle.

Who cares what he is wearing. If he needs a special suit to go faster he isn't a worth winner.

Purely from a stirrers POV, I'd love it if Froome beats Wiggins 8)

Cancellara rides in baggy shorts and a t shirt then eh?

He's wearing the official skinsuit. Apparently the Adidas stripes are considered a team logo on the legs.

I've actually had the dubious honour o being utterly spanked by FDJ era Wiggins in a 10. He rode 54x13 fixed.

According to some bone idle Twitter losers, Greipel is doing the Champs Elysees stage in board shorts and flipflops

Perhaps an element of going off too hard?

Could even be a ploy to put pressure on the likes of Nibs and Evans to push on harder over the first section.

I think inrng said it was a tail wind too, picked up later on?

Think Wiggins could blow this one. Seems to have gone off too quick. Could be scared of Froome - he should be.

Why do Sky use grey instead of black on their skin suits? Is grey a more aero colour or something?? ;)
