Will they make him change it since it is not an official skinsuit?
Would think he would just wear a black one if he was gonna change before the ride.
    Will be interesting to see.

There is no such thing as offical kit anyway...It just needs the requiste logos on in the right places.

Tech wise he's the bees knees. His column in the comic is poor. Nice to see he's on commentating on live tv though, would love to hear (rather than P&P show).

OK - bring on the top 10

Just seen Wiggins warming up on the rollers with Egg shaped chain rings. Do they actually work? The TV commentator says it is a French invention but my old Shimano MTB has egg shaped rings and I'm sure I've seen them on bikes in the 1950s.

Maybe he should have 'L' shaped cranks as well?

Froome's odds have just shortened on Betfair. He must have looked good on the rollers.

Sure their is, just ask Le Coq Sportif.

They can sell the official replicas and have the logo on the podium Jersey thingums but teams regularly use their own jerseys. Witness the difference with people using team shorts with jerseys or the full yellow/green/polka dot monstrosities.

ES saying that Sagan used the official Coq one, but then he barely even broke sweat so probably does nt care....

They ve made a come back recently. ROTOR and Shimano both have versions, The idea is that you have a "smaller" ring in the dead spot and a "bigger" ring when you re pushing down. Some people like them, some don't...

FWIW, article 10 of the rule book:
All these jerseys must be worn in the state in
which they are provided by the organisation.

They may be fitted with rectangular
advertising banners bearing the names of
the teams within the limits established by
    UCI regulations.
Bodysuits are provided to the leaders of the
various rankings for the time trial stages.

No, as the rules state they must use the one from the Tour. During road stages that is a jersey, during TT's that is a skinsuit.

The oval is the 'opposite' way to the old Biopace I believe. I think it's something like giving the most power at the proper part of the stroke whereas biopace tried to even the power over the whole revolution (something like that anyway). They seem prone to dropping the chain on Wiggos bike though!

No? I can't remember any particular race when this has happened before.

I would assume that Sky will have got approval from the ASO if they are not using the Le Coq skinsuit.

Anyway, that's the TDF rule book not the UCI one.
