how do you all think the teams will ride today? Will it be a soft break let away and teams keep fresh legs for Monday or will it be GC battle today??? I think fireworks today..GC war

I'm off to Glovelier to watch them come through twice.

Think the best tactic for Sky would be the right break going and another team having yellow for a few days - that right break might be hard to find...

It would be good to see a gloves off situation but don't you think one or two teams will be licking their wounds after yesterday? If they take another beating today it could be game over for them with two weeks to go. Having said that the Sky team expended a lot of calories yesterday, would they want to have to ride like that again today?

There's still a long way to go but although I think there will be some "cagey" game play today I think we will be set up for a right old battle in the closing km's. I really enjoyed yesterday's race and the anticipation of "will Cadel just use the Sky boys to propel him to the line and take seconds back from Wiggo or can Sky take it all the way" which of course they did. And that was brilliant :D

Sadly I will have to wait for highlights tonight on ITV4 as I will be on a return flight from Cyprus to Manchester whilst all the excitement goes on. Going to Paris for the final day and really looking forward to that. It makes the thought of a return to work tomorrow in a wet and windy UK all the more bearable :D

A lot of teams with nothing to lose. It's got successful breakaway written all over it. The sort of day that Casar and Vino tend to triumph in.

Quite excited about today's stage. I think the descent off the last climb could be decisive.

Think a large break is gonna go away, sky will let someone else take yellow and evans and nibs will try to distance wiggins in the last few k for few seconds.....or sky will control the whole thing to the finish line.

surely Evans with his great descending will have a go at sky on some descent, see if they make a mistake?

Jeremy Roy will surely have a go

How technical is the last descent?

Are Nibs and Evans likely to take that much time? My thinking is that if Sky don't drill it too much on the final climb and they make it over the top with 3/4 riders then there's very little chance of anyone taking masses of time out of them on the descent.

+1. I think Cadel may look to break on the climb to gain some ground and time on Wiggo and use his descending skills to extend any gap he creates. Who knows!? I think it will be a great race today and for those of you watching at home some edge of the sofa viewing for a Sunday afternoon. :D

Currently sat waiting for the coach to take me back to Larnaca airport. :( at least I have a little bit more Wifi time to fill the void

I think very little will happen in terms of GC today, stages with this kind of profile tend not to shake things up that much, certainly not from my memory anyway.

Sandycasar the number one trending item on twitter. Cool but a little weird

I was talking to Hoogerland's chiropractor last night who said he was going to try and get I'm the break so he could get the KOM jersey...

It's a day for a break. 40km TT tomorrow so the GC guys won't want to shred themselves.

Now I've said that it'll be GC carnage today.

It's a shame Froome can't pursue that jersey. He's obviously capable. It's difficult to see him being able to keep it as a by product of defending Wiggo's GC.

I do like Hoogerland though. I thought he was good value for money in the ToB a couple of years ago.

TBH, perfect day for someone to get into a break and take the KOM jersey, gotta be a lot of points on offer today.

Sagan said he'd like to be in the break, but I can't see Orica letting that happen. Going to be a hot ticket into the break today.

This looks like a nasty little stage. It could cause more damage than many more traditional mountain stages.
It will also be a very hard one for the autobus - there's likely to be people outside the time limit today.

Yes, i was thinking that too - especially if the break doesnt go straight away and so they race up the 4th cat and the 3rd cat resulting in some of the wounded being dropped early on.

Very surprised Jonny isn't in that group ahead trying to make the break. Very surprised.

Hoogerland is nursing a sore knee I believe.

Very strong group up ahead. Everyone wants their strongest non-GC man in it.

He is, but he tweeted he'd go for it anyway. Not like Jonny to be put off attacking.

Millar and Voigt in the break... its class quotient is high

  • It is really good to see how the break is/not anymore being formed. so often with TV coverage you do not get too. Voigt on a solo effort today - would love to see it.
