    Climbers:

Tier 1 Bertie, Pozzovivo, A Schleck, Cunego?
Tier 2 Anton, Gadret, F Schleck, Nibali, Basso
Tier 3 Wiggo, Evans, a load of Rabo riders

Samu Sanchez is surely in T2. He's a far better climber than Wiggins.

Rolland? Winning on L'Alpe is surely worthy of a mention

Rujano only man who could live with Bertie at the Giro last year.

Horner/Leipheimer are pretty decent as much as I hate to say it

I had Samu in at first but deleted him. Tiralongo should probably be in tier 2 as well. Plenty missing as I just did it off the top of my head. Biggest problem is that the only time I get to see climbers is in stage races where they are often either working for a team leader or getting hailed back by the GC contenders and their teams. Not enough big mountain one day races where they can shine.

So, the Giro rest day has bored Rick to tiers.
    What next: Hors Catagory threads?

I put the Emanuele Sella of the 2008 Giro into climbers tier 1+. :P

Of course head to head we know who won out of Schleck and Evans. On a "climbers TdF" at that.

They've both won the Tour once.

I did have Cadel in the top tier but moved him down.

Schleck's far more consistant in the Tour, so far.

Consistent in the only bloody race he rides... i find him the most annoying rider in the peloton.

But you've forgotten the "Will Cav win the SPOTY?"

Anyhoo, you're all wrong. The thread title is about classiness. Oscarito wins, thread closed.

Elia Favilli must have shot up in the classiness rankings, surely?

Everyone raves about that time Freire bunnyhopped a traffic island to take a win in some chipper race somewhere... Favilli bunnyhopped the frickin' world champion!

Though to be fair, Favilli only had to hop over Cavs legs - it wasn't as if he had to clear Cav's stomach.

Exactly how many panache points is bunnyhopping the world champion worth?

We haven't had a panache graph yet, have we?

How long does a rider need to perform to justify their Tierage?
Surely Szmyd's looking solid upper Tier 2 after Trentino? And poor old young Gesink was nudging Tier 1 a season or two back (dropping Andy Schmuck and everyone all over the shop in some pre Tour chippers) - where's he at now?

Until now nobody's managed to jump the World Champion. Back in 1967, Evel Knievel tried to jump Rudi Altig, but it ended in disaster.

Definitely a bunny hop. He probably wasn't riding with a low enough gear to climb over Cav at this time of the year.

Right then, Mr N95. Tier these according to degree of "Corporate Whoredom"

    Basso cooking shoes
    Cav flogging shampoo
    Boonen with pate or laminate
Farrar with sunnies, sorry, "Transition" lenses
    Bertie with matresses
A greased Pipppo dry-humping a pair of Sidis

    Rick's team classiness table

Note, being a gimpy new skool team counts heavily agains you. Being seen as a bunch of hard men who do stuff old skool counts heavily in favour.

I've gone over to R6. For me it's the only nicotine and (I think that says Tar...) cigerette that has so much flavour.

Bloody Merckx. He just has to p!ss on everything, doesn't he......

Not to mention De Vlaeminck in "Boonen's ads not as good as mine" shocka -

"I hope Cancellara participates next year, then we see a different poster campaign," de Vlaeminck said. "I knew beforehand that he [Boonen] would be next to me [on the list of all-time endorsements]. Tom can not help it that this time he had no opposition. They were not second, but third-rate media tarts.

"Take Pozzato: if you want to win, your task is to stick your oily bits into a pair of Sidi Ergos. The competition provided him with no obstacles and they probably couldn't have done any better than they did. For the Belgian fans, it was fantastic, but for the average, foreign consumers there was nothing to be seen, which is a sad affair. When he [Boonen] was holding the pate, I already knew the outcome."
