I say live... They've a sullen looking Nick Nuyens giving analysis in the studio.

They will stay in the studio until about 13:00 (CET), so you can epxect about an hour of analysis and discussion before switching to the race.

They'll be live by half past 12 their time.
  • I don't understand a word apart from "Eddy Planckaert" but this Freddy Maertens documentary is quite enjoyable.
"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

It always seems so much longer, but you're right, about 30 minutes, not 60 of talking.

Wish they would just go straight to the action.
  • Great, all set: Enormous Flandrian flag hanging from the upstairs bay window, manure-strewn flowerbeds smelling like Belgian countryside, bottles of Huyghe beer standing ready. Bring it on!

Yes I know, but doesn't mean I have to like it, even if what they put on is generally pretty interesting anyway.

Average speed for the first 90km - 46.5kph.

Keep that up and we'll see some bigger selections later on.

You pay in cash for everything you do in this race.

Yep, Farrar will be screwed later on.

But all the main favourites still asleep in the peleton, so it should be good from around ~15:30 onwards after they hit the Oude for the second time.

None of the live-streams working for me, for a change. *sighs*.

I swear my IP adress has been blocked or something.

At this rate they are due to reach Oude Kwaremont #1 just as Eurosport motorsports goes live. :?

    Flecha - rear puncture?

    Oui.

He's still recovering from a broken hand though.

    Shame.

No, it was right after they went live.

Cancellara almost missed the turn at the base and mssed hitting the crowd by a few inches.
  • I love the way the fans run off away back to their cars as soon as the peloton passes. Race within a race.

Commentator on Eurosport is banging on about SFA.

That's it. Lastras has decided it's time to go. A 132km solo victory...
  • Is everyone going to puncture on this section?

  • Who was that missing the corner?

I enjoyed Sporza's "Boiiiiiing!" sound effect.

Europecar seem to be making a showing on the front of the peloton - safest place to be ... but oh so many punctures already
