According to cyclingfans.com there will be little or no TV coverage because of the bad weather today. Any excuse for that incompetent TV crew, if you ask me.0

Camerawork yesterday was rubbish, and they wonder why these races are struggling to pay their way!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0
-
Surely the stage is going to be shortened judging by that photo, brings Albasini into the mix?Take care of the luxuries and the necessites will take care of themselves.0

I heard they are diverting the route to avoid the snow and slush - as it is the single greatest climbing day in the UCI calender they will be many relieved cyclists if they dohttp://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

Yes, shortened stage. Or do you mean did Janez and co find a short cut?! ;-)0 -
Will be interesting to get more info. 10 riders go all out and the race will be anulled in GC...Contador is the Greatest0
-
they should let the times count - would make for an entertaining next few days0
-
Think they'll just all get one time for GC, bet Albasini is pleased as that would pretty much hand the race to him."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Most probably the peloton just said 'these conditions are too bad so we arent riding'...see here, doesnt look too bad:

What a farce. With this and the terrible TV it's time to put a 'Do Not Resuscitate' notice on the Tour of Catalonia.
Still - the ASO may have picked up on this stage shortening ruse as a way of getting a French Tour winner. Jeremy Roy in yellow in Paris?Twitter: @RichN950 -
Oh yes, Tekle is riding. Guy says he is terrible with the cold.
Contador is the Greatest0 -
Andy Schleck abandons. No surprises there I guess.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Wiggins and Porte both abandoned aswell... I don't think any of these guys can be bothered with this race. It's a shame.
edit: Except perhaps Albasini!0 -
Ah the cotton wool generation of riders.Contador is the Greatest0

Indeed... it's sensible but I would have enjoyed seeing some racing this week 8)0 -
What a farce. Chaos at the finish:

So reading between the lines on various comments on Twitter, it would appear that some (maybe all?) of those riders who abandoned today will be allowed to start tomorrow.
How the hell does that work?0 -
Inner Ring saying 5 teams based in hotels at the top of the original finishing climb of yesterdays stage are trapped there due to the snow. Start line is going to look very messy this morning.0
