If its cheap enough Yossie will wear anything - Sky, stripes, whatever. It has to be cheap enough to work with the Yossie budget though. I'll also wear mismatched with no worries - at the moment its Caisse D'Epargne shorts and a Planet X top.

Call me a slave to poverty and a whore to the discount.

Anyone who moans - stuff 'em.

As long as you support the team it's fine.

    I am a quick-step fan, so I wear quick-step kits.

Not a replica fan myself and do find it a wee bitty hard aligning myself with SKY but... local addidas outlet had bibshorts and top at £30 each so bought the bib shorts. As for all the comments about being a walking billboard does that not also take into account Altura, Rapha, Castelli, Endura, Craft etc etc... anything you wear has writing on it.

I just bought the old Terpstra QS Dutch national jersey.

    Can't really justfy buying anymore.

I have my favourite QS design anyway:

As QS jerseys go, that one is pretty smart!

QS over the years are consistently pretty good.

I wouldn't - nothing against the team but not keen on riding around as a billboard for that sponsor.

Which sponsors are you happy to endorse?

I dare say if I were familiar with the business practices of the major shareholders of several I'd not want to wear their kit either - I don't feel that strongly about it but as there is plenty of choice of kit out there the association with Murdoch is enough to make me buy something else - seems reasonable enough to me.
    +1

I quite like the Sky kit, and I support Team GB and the riders in the Sky Pro team, but I just wouldn't wear anything advertising Sky as a brand on an ethical basis. Murdoch and his cronies are (allegedly) a bunch of scumbags, irrespective of what sports they pour money into.

How much of Sky does Murdoch/ NI own?

    I didn't think it was a majority.

As an aside, any company that you can buy shares in will likely be part owned by big rich financial people whose ethics you may or may not want to question.

News Corp own 39% of Sky.
The Murdochs own 40% of News Corp.

So the Murdochs own about 16% of Sky.

Would I waer a Sky jersey. No

Should you wear a Sky jersey? If you want to, why not? Just make sure you take it off before you do any 'lady-boinking'. That might be a bit weird.

I was going to post this very sentiment. Any big company sponsoring any team in any sport will almost certainly be run, or have a close assosiation with some very very unscrupulous and unpleasant people. What are you going to do?

In any case, overweight forty-somethings pootling about, shoe horned into a medium world champion Sky kits are probably doing the Sky cause more harm than good.

I agree with Yossie, If it's cheap, buy it.

I understand that CRC are doing specials on space dockers at the moment - free postage and you get some of those hydro tabs in the packet.

Worth a look - see if you need any.

As they're 'racing fit' and as, increasingly, I have a "leisure fit" body wearing one is a non-starter.

I tried an XL 'Movistar' shirt on in the summer (I ususally wear M or L) and it gave me 'muffin top' arms and neck as well as waist.......

I saw a bloke wearing Sky kit when I was out n about on Sunday am. Can't say he made me want to punch him in the face or offer verbal abuse in his direction; we nodded at each other and carried on. He was a nice bloke out on his bike, which is A Good Thing surely?

I still reckon if you worry about cyclists wearing team kits you're also duty bound to harangue fat blokes in Asda wearing Chelsea / Man U / Liverpool etc shirts. Same diff.

Ah the the old Bike Radar if you express any kind of a preference for anything then you must by definition be vehemently opposed to the opposite preference and all those who choose it argument ;)

My wife was going to buy me some Sky kit but I asked her not to. Nothing to do with being anti-Sky or anti-replica kit and I do like the kit but I would rather spend the money on some more club kit or good quality, plain Endura or Giordana stuff. Plus there are so many people out there riding in Sky stuff these days.

I also wear what I feel like. BMC or Katusha jersey, bmc or other bibs, gloves and rest mavic in yellow so completly different world again... and honestly, if you've been lucky to see me for long enough to recognize these brands you've got my respect ;):D

Ohh, I forgot. You could have been riding at Manchester Velodrome with me so then you've probably seen me every third lap overtaking you :D:D
