Chavannel Leading the Breakaway - Going to be a few happy PTP'ers.0
-
He only needs 18 odd minutes to 'do a Delgado' and breath life into my PTP.....
edit anton that is not Chavanel0 -

Anton? He has ruined my PTP thus far :twisted:0 -
Well he's got 22 seconds so far0
-
Montaguti beath Moncoutie for the first KOM sprint, but looks like they've been swallowed up again now.
I got my mates at Sky to reel back in the initial break as Luis Leon Sanchez wasn't in it."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

I picked Roche today, what a fool.0 -
According to the Sky tracker there is now a big break at 22 secs including Wiggins and Nibali, craziness!
Need to stop looking and do some work for a couple of hours!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Thats correct. 32 Riders, Including the above, Roche, Cancellara, Chavanel and many others...0 -
Nibali up to second and only 4 seconds behind Wiggins now after taking the first intermediate sprint.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0

Nibs takes first intermediate sprint (crazy) but break has split in 2 now, and Nibs in second group...0
-
down to 17 riders, wiggins and nibs dropped back. roche best placed 3.50 down0
-
Nibs is now trying to get back up to the lead group0
-
Happy with Roche, had a feeling he'd go today, hence my pick...Anton still in the leading group, looking for something special?0
-
all together again by look of it0
-
J-Rod Joins the Leading group - one hell of an interesting stage!0
-
Yep, all swept up now. Damn.0
-
Katusha riding VERY VERY Hard.0
-
sky ticker has it all together?0

Nibali just made some unnecessary enemies, including Chavanel and Cancellara.
Wiggins and Nibali in the break. Nibs wins the sprint. Both drop back, then Nibali changes his mind and chases back on.
Breakaway doomed, obviously and caught. So all the effort people had made to get in it was wasted and Nibali was to blame.
The bonus seconds were clever and valuable, but what happened next was either a lapse in judgment or a sign of desperation from Nibali.0 -
surely the fact he even went for the int sprint showed desperation!0
-
Roche looks keen, in a fresh break now! Go on Nico, I need the PTP points.0

I don't think so - it wasn't exactly a break full of also rans that could be allowed to stay away - it had to be neutralised. Roche, and Seeldrayers were still in it, so it was probably a good move by Nibali to kill it by his presence rather than force his or Sky's team too - he probably wants just to fight a few seconds behind wiggins with his stronger team.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
The new break will also probably not last long, lots of guys around 3:30+ time down. I guess Sky are just too weak to dictate a pace that doesn't encourage all these attacks?Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0

DITTO!!!!0 -
Anton gone in the break again, what's he trying to salvage?0
-
Sky are going to have to work hard here, as said above they probably aren't strong enough...0
-
Im not sure the break will stay away today, its not Lumpy enough at the end, main worry is Wiggo trying to keep up with Nibs on the final descent off that last Cat 3.0
-
Albasini going it alone now...0

At the moment it's probably okay - Liquigas, Leopard and Astana will also have to ride or be just as stuffed - it may well be how much Sky can bluff them.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
