    4 Bos, 5 Veelers, 6 EBH

Phinney in that first group. Didn't see Gilbert or Millar...

Don't think it will matter, they will probably all get the same time.

Phinney giving it a good go there, but a bit immature to think you can drop Farrar and Greipel with 250M to go!

He's won bunch sprints as a semi-pro, though, so worth giving it a go to test yourself... especially in a small group and with bonus seconds available.

True, but I still think he went too early.

No, because he wouldn't try and sprint from 250M into a block headwind.

I'm not having a go at Phinney, it was nice to see a young rider and race leader taking the race by the horns, I just think he showed a little bit of naivety. Would have been smarter to get on the wheel of Farrar and Greipel and then even if you can't come past them you still have a good chance of getting into the top 3 and getting a time bonus.

They often slip into a bit of English language, the Dutch do it as well.

Good to see they wedged the finish line between all the speed bumps! :)

Stretching for things to say a bit in the Cyclingnews report:
Phinney finished seventh and so kept his seven-second overall race lead ahead of Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky). David Millar (Garmin-Cervelo) is third at eight seconds, completing an all English speaking top three.

"All English speaking"? I bet the top 20 speak decent functional English if they have to, so if we're claiming EBH let's have them all!

Big ride by Taylor. Nice win for Greipel.

As an aside, Miss Eneco Tour is Van Sum's fiance (maybe wife now)

One of the messiest sprints I've seen, lucky it wasn't the whole bunch the roads are too narrow. It was nice to see Gilbert bring the leader through the bunch when he got back after puncturing, he may have been in trouble with the splits that occurred otherwise.

Stage 3 - lots of wind and echelons splitting it up with 28 km to go.

    Finally.

It's not really racing in Holland without echelons.

They're in Flanders today ;). They did a small berg-zone in Ronde van Vlaanderen-territory, but without much impact. All back together, but they'll do the same exposed windy stretch again later on

Flippin' Eurosport! Why advertise cycling at 10.15 then show golf in that slot and then follow it not with delayed cycling highlights but with scheduled golf programme. Not happy!

    Hah!

Harmon's been very busy this year. Feels like he's always on.

Bet he's wishing he picked football now. More money, only 90 mins once or twice a week.

Last 10 km of the stage where Gilbert needs to make his move of he wants to win the Eneco Tour. Lottos working on the front all day (including Greipel), but they leave it to the last 2 climbs
