I bet Sonc would be surprised if the winning bike was an Orange 5
  • A top spec orange 5 would be my choice, Because I like the look of them and they appear to be well liked by the folk that have them. However the pricing puts it into the I cannot justify spending that much money on a bike bracket.

I would buy a top spec Orange 5 with bacon hidden inside. So when it gets smelted we can all have crispy bacon flavoured dream bikes. 8)

I'd like a TR250 with air forks and rear shock, light but tough wheels and other kit to make it a true play bike that might still be able to get up hills!

Tragically, I'm joining the Orange Five wanting brigade, now they've brought out a 22" jobby :) That or something like a Tallboy or Carbon Jet 9.

Depends what I'm riding, still enjoy the 26" wheels more for leaping off jumps and things. The Meta went to Scotland with me a couple of weeks back. The 29er definitely has it's place though!

Yeah, but what would you use tiny 22" wheels for?

Very tight switchbacks! I carry a selection of bikes on every ride these days.

 and an unicycle of course, for when a climb gets so steep that two wheels puts you at a compromise

 Wondered how long it would be before someone pointed that out.

For me, if I could only have 1 bike, as sad as it sounds, I'd keep my current frame and spend much £££ putting it on a diet whilst keeping as much strength as possible.

However, if money really was no object, I'd have vast warehouses full of all sorts of bikes to cover every eventuality.

Money no object I'd probably buy a mountain to build trails on and stick with the bikes I have.

    Good call. I'd buy Snowdon.

In fact, everyone PRAY for me (if you're religious, or just wish me well if you're sensible, and aren't) - I'm going to enter this week's lottery, and see if I can buy Snowdon, and put it in the hands of mountain bikers :D

Or you could get something good! You wouldn't buy a sports car made by Yeti, so why buy a bike made by Lambo or Ferrari?!
