Don't know why everyone's so surprised. You've got the best climber in the world who is fatigued with a knee injury and two brothers who are the most gutless, clueless bike riders in the peloton. It's going down to the TT.

Why doesn't Andy have his saddle mounted backwards, wouldn't that be more comfortable?

Very poor show. Almost all favourites arriving together.

GC contenders with no balls. 5km attacks minimum putting minutes into others are required.

Samu the only rider to admire.

So a Tour so far with very little talent being shown, just time gaps created by luck.

    Voeckler serious admiration.

    Rolland serious admiration.

Vanendert just riding away from them......just goes to show their slackness. Congratulations that man.

Contador dropped or suffering? You speak too soon. Riding well for a man smashed up and fatigued. We really need him to blow the others away show them how it is done.

Give me the GRIO and some bravery, some serious time gaps, some unreal stages and some attacking mentality.

    "No guts": Big Maggie.

Jelle Vandenert will win the Tour, then?

Andy takes a whole, huge two seconds.
Clearly, still too fond of Contador's after shave.
    Beware the Yellow Peril.
    Tommy Voeckler simply amazing, today.

Hope this lot swop their handbags for sledge hammers, by the time we reach the Alps.

Not really sure why everyone keeps having a go at the Shlecks. Andy kept attacking and if he got a serious gap he would have carried on riding. He tried hard unlike anyone else and I think Frank just didn't have the legs today.

Can't help feeling that alot of people are jumping on the bash a shleck bandwagon. Bit boring really.

Andy blatantly had a major attack in him... why wait? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Contador playing for time. Evans hanging on, but i think he's gonna start losing form soon.

Voeckler... he could well be up there at the end.

Damn this is a fascinating Tour. I hope the Alps fulfill their promise.

Voeckler really ought to be considered a contender now, has a decent lead and is climbing very well.

the Schlecks have had the opportunity to bury Contador yet havent done it and he is still hanging in there, if his knee problem clears up / or he rides into a bit of form then that is going to come back and bite them

Theres probably not much between the top tour contenders this year...with a tough final week, why would they want to put themselves out of contention by blowing up before the finale? They couldn't win it today but they could lose it!! Have a rest on Monday and then they have to take the chances. Next week will be a cracker.

Good to see TV hang-in there. Would be good to see him get a top 10 placing.

Did you watch the same race as everyone else? The reason he didn't get a serious gap is because he kept sitting up after each effort. The only time he fully committed was on the flat bit at the summit!

Unless some of the GC contenders start racing then I hope he does.

Great ride today from Tommy V.

Well he certainly deserves to. The schlecks are waiting for something and they will probably still be waiting when the tour has finished.

did you consider the possibilkity he maybe didnt have it in the legs to launch a sustained attack ? i suppose these races are easy sitting on the sofa.
