They should put things like that on the TV feed, would certainly make it interesting. F1 has alot of on screen info which really helps give an idea of what is going on and I think cycling should follow0

Harmon was on about that the other day. It seems so obvious you wonder why they wouldn't.0 -
Did Boonen start?
He said he would last night, but things can feel very different the morning after.0 -

The lead is now out to 8'40". If the predicted tailwinds materialise later on in the stage then this breakaway has a decent chance of succeeding.0

Contador:Alberto explained that he experienced “a first crash when I was more or less twenty riders back. It was ahead of me, before the intermediate sprint. I got up right away, put the brakes right, but the derailleur had gone bad or something, and when I shifted, the chain jumped and I crashed again. In the end, the important thing is to get up, although the injuries aren’t good because the body suffers.”
Contador is also unhappy about the accident involving his teammate Nicki Sorensen, who was run over by a photographer’s moto. “Thanks to a photographer who pushed my teammate; I don’t know how he can continue in the race after that blow. He dragged the bike for more than a kilometer.”
Alberto acknowledged that things were bad for him after the second crash. “At the time, I was angry because I had just survived the other crash (the one with Gesink) two kilometers before and we were all incredibly stressed out.” Finally, his injuries are not serious. “I’m affected on the right side, from the knee to the shoulder, but there’s nothing serious, even though I have to wait and see when I cool off. Today I knew that it was an important day and to be constantly on the alert, because in these stages you can lose the Tour and they can be more dangerous than a day in the mountains.”

I was thinking that watching yesterday's stage - the simple yellow jersey/black shorts combo is hard to beat and traces a nice line through many of the greats of the past.0

Agree with that, have always found the whole yellow helmet, shoes, glasses etc that some indulge in a bit naff. There are occassions when less is more.0 -
I had legs that looked like that until two years ago when I had the veins taken out. It's all to do with faulty valves in the groin area.0
