Haven’t seen any of his authoritative postings for ages? Anyone know???

    I think he posted a while back that he had done a close inspection of the road surface (broken shoulder IIRC?). Might just be keeping away from the forum so he doesn't get frustrated. But with the tour on now...

    After his accident I think he decided to take some time away from here and probably spend quality time with his family. Can't blame the man really. I'm sure he will be back along at some point.

    He's been banned I think.

    He was explaining to someone the dangers of racing mentioning the accident he had and two trolls (guess the name of one them) accused him of moaning and to mtfu and Napd responded by calling him a male bird....and was banned I think. Thats why all of his posts are logged as 'guest'

    How long does a Ban last? 6 months, 6 years, 60 years??? forum sadly worse off IMO.

    Read NapD's account of the accident - not nice!
    Badly injured - I don't think he is able to ride at the moment.
    Was talking about not racing - maybe moving to TT's.
    Hope he recovers quickly.

    Sorry to hear he was banned!
    There are a few that might deserve that, but he wouldn't be on my list.

    Yeah, also sorry to here he was banned.

    One of the most helpful members on the road forum and he probably earned a bit of understanding for a meltdown following his accident.

    In the circumstances I wasn't at all surprised that NapD was more than a little disillusioned with cycling, and vented on BR, given that his livelihood and career had been derailed by a nasty fall in a race (whatever the cause). Yeah, maybe in that last thread the bitterness was bit out of place, but it's a shame he's gone (at least for now) just when I guess he needs friendly support and understanding of his difficulties. And he was always a friendly and helpful poster. For those reasons, I would have hoped he could have been cut a bit of slack.

    If you're reading, NapD, I hope you are recovering, and getting your mojo back. And even if you never want to race again, I hope you can rediscover the pleasure of cycling.

    If NapD was actually banned then I have lost a lot of respect for these forums. I hope the mods will clear this up.

    I am shocked NapD has been banned from this site - he has always been helpful to many on here including myself with good advice and has never been condescending to those asking for help. In addition he also organised a couple of good rides for fellow BR's the last I participated in which was bloody hard but excellently organised.

    All that goes to a burton when he finally loses his rag (which given his accident he must of been fairly close to) due to continuous posts by someone else, who followed from thread to thread - seems a little harsh IMO.

    I have read through all the thread that was mentioned and cannot believe NapDwas banned for that (do we know if that is the case??). As others have said, I have seen much, much worse on here. Without coming across as a NapD fanboy, I think his posts have always been funny, very helpful or usually both.

    Good luck with the recovery Nap, here's to a miraculous markwalker-esque resurrection :)

    I've got a lot of respect for NapD, but I'm sorry to say that I think he lost the plot a bit. Hopefully he's just taking a break though and he'll be back soon with his sharp wit and helpful posts.

    This is very bad news, NapD has made a significant contribution to the enjoyment of this forum for me. To be turfed off for reacting to the goadings of a couple? ( or the same troll twice ) of trolls is harsh. I feel sure that he will surmount his physical difficulties and deal with this additional setback with the spirit of a Fighting C0ck.
