So it has finally arrived. Uphill finish today that I think will rule out the pure sprinters.

Gilbert is my pick for today, although Ventoso could be an outsider.

Good build up coverage by eurosport today. Stage is live from 12 noon on ITV4 as well.

    Gilbert odds on WIlliam hill was 11/10, with the next (Hushovd) at 5/1.

    An uphill finish to Gilbert is like a flat boulevard finish to Cavendish at the moment.

    Kiryienka better not win this. In the end I went with the safe option of Gilbert but I've just got the feeling that it's going to suit a late counter attack by someone like him.

    Eurosport player keeps freezing/buffering and this is just the low quality feed. I wouldn't be so bothered if it was free, but the Eurosport Player is a subscription service, so it needs to actually work.
