Dammit, I was hoping you'd tell us which cliff you were going to ride off, so I could come and pry it from your dying, twitching fingers

Well not much to report so far. Getting used to the Hanzz now (slowly) Getting more air time and becoming more confident, still a whiles to go.

On the DH @ Cwmcarn last weekend I had a pinch flat, on the breezeblock slope just before the tunnel (if I've got my orientation correct). One of the lads (thanks Ian) supplied a new tube to roll to the bottom. I've just patched the pinched tube and as I pump the tyre back up I notice this

    rippedHR.jpg

don't know what I hit but it ripped the sidewall of the (as good as new) HR. What is the blue I hear you ask.. Electrical tape :D ghetto!

No way am I replacing a brand new HR and I'm saving my Schwalbes for dedicated DH sessions (rather than XC/DH as we're doing at the mo)

What's the worst that could happen..

I see what you are saying about keeping them for later after reading below:

any yes there is a breezeblock slope on the ramp into the tunnel of love. if you look at it. its hasa a tryer line warn into it. i guess if you where in it and pulled out of it.
  • Fack mate!

Tom - they're the trailstar triple compound snakeskin folding FR versions. Outstanding, so good I don't want to waste them on the trails. The HR does a good enough job when it's not being torn apart.

Ben - it was the breezeblock slope on the DH. I hate that slope as it is, it is now my new nemesis

yea Tom just checked and it's directly after the tunnel, for some reason I thought it was before.

Saving the Schwalbes for uplift day. You should do it when you get the nerve

Had a good ride around Cwmcarn this evening. Went out by myself which gave me some setting up time and still trying to dial it just right (cannot get the seat spot on for some reason 'but' getting there) Getting the hang of it in the air, cleared a few table tops etc. Loving the Hanzz more and more. Hit the DH, not necessarily the best idea in the evening on my own but I lived.

    Few pics

Also; picked up my TSG Staten today, what a lid, not that hot, doesn't impair vision at all and it's got some really nice touches.

    Cheers bud :D

It's going to be getting commuter tyres on it for the weekend to do the 55 miles from Brecon to Cardiff. Think I should have bought a seat that isn't pure plastic instead :?

Had a skid around Cwmcarn today. Thinking the Hanzz is over sprung so looking to get softer springs, 400X2.80 on the rear and one potentially one down from what;s in the front. Blue normally?

New FR section is ok to be fair, look forward to it being finished and hitting it properly.

I had a ride on my mates P7 that's old but had a very decent amount of money spent on it at some point. Stem is too long and low and bars are very narrow but jeez it's so light. I really like the way it pedals. Wan't a HT now too :?

    P7 and the tank

    just the tank

and to top it off, AMy just ordered me a years subscription of MBR :D
