What a day.
Finally got her  very pleased, and what a bike. Totally different from the GT, the cockpit feels much smaller and the bottom bracket feels a lot higher that the GT; manifested in the cranks/pedals feeling 'higher' (like riding an R6 compared to a Bandit) and fook me those bars are hella wide  they're gonna take some getting used to.
I was expecting a Saint crankset but more than happy with RF. I love the way it pedals, feels heavier than the GT of course but it's not as heavy as I was expecting, it's so stable. I've had it out on the tarmac only so far. It's typical I'm going away for 2 weeks with work I won't have a chance to ride for a fortnight
The Bicycle Doctor were great and Henry gave me a mass of heli tape so I'll be spending some time prepping it before it goes anywhere.
Thanks to Jeff and Henry @ TBD

I knew the SL had Saint brakes but didn't realise it was the whole groupset, there seems to be some confusion on all sites about the spec between the two, I'm more than happy with the RF as you say NM, top stuff, and they're solvent again now..
Yea shall I just sack off my Basildon work project and hit the slopes with youCube Hanzz Pro FRSquarepants wrote:It's not that I'm over over biked, my bike is under personed...0 -

I'm very jealous anyways!
2 months till I get a "big rig" lol. Then i'll be back on the DH!
See what I want but its now where near as sexy as that!0 -
I'm sure it will be mate, you gonna be as candid about the rig as you were about the whippet :?Cube Hanzz Pro FRSquarepants wrote:It's not that I'm over over biked, my bike is under personed...0

personally i would put a chainguide on the front and run it with one ring and get a short cage mech, but thats just my opinion!
they really are lovely bikes 8)0 -
I'm not that fit Jay, think I need all the gears I can get
That could well be a future upgrade though depending on what I'm riding
Thanks for the thumbs up fellaCube Hanzz Pro FRSquarepants wrote:It's not that I'm over over biked, my bike is under personed...0 -

Well was up Cwmcarn yesterday for the first proper ride. First impressions are good, I was surprised at how well it pedals.
One thing that struck me is how high the BB is compared to the GT. I was constantly smashing the crank arms in to the scenery on the GT, on the Hanzz I can keep pedalling and roll over the top of rocks etc, hasn't stopped me heli taping the tip of the cranks arms though
The Schwalbes are superb, massive, and confidence inspiring. I have however swapped them out for maxxpro HR 2.5 F + R to decrease RR. Ironically the 2.5 HR's look tiny on the Hanzz frame, those Schwalbes are suming else
I was a little dissapointed (in myself only) that I'm still landing front wheel heavy on table tops, a FR bike doesn't make a FR rider of course - I'll try to improve and get some more confidence in the air.
I got around CC yesterday in 1 hour 23. Not bad for the big old barge. I did cheat and go up the road to the crossing however, big bike + first ride in a month + in a rush (3 excuses - not bad )

sweet dude I hope there are some when you come to buy. The adjustable geometry looks superb. Re life expectancy - who wants to life forever anyway

Shorter stem bud.
Whats the length on there? 80/90mm? I'd be after a 50mm max and some wiiiiiiide bars!0 -
75mm. My bars a ridiculously wide as is, plenty of control with them.. I've thought about chopping them down but we'll see in time.
You're not out tomorrow are you?Cube Hanzz Pro FRSquarepants wrote:It's not that I'm over over biked, my bike is under personed...0 -
