Quite a few members here keep mentioning the Oxo Tower and recommending that I take my girlfriend up it.

To be honest I've never been, never really been interested despite passing it on many occasions.

Have you been up the Oxo Tower?

What's it like?

it can be difficult to get in at first - but once you are in - its fantastic
  • I've always been confused by the profusion of 'exit' signs about the place, with nary a glimpse of an 'entry' marking.

I think so. A chap I know told me he had taken all sorts of animals up there. Not quite sure why you would take a goat sightseeing personally but he seemed to have enjoyed it from what he said.

£187. Defo paying for the exclusive reputation than the food.

A lot better places for less. My fave Locanda Locatelli and Chapter 1.

I once had a customer ask me, with a very straight face, if I had ever taken my wife up the oxo tower.

Have been five or six times over the last few years; initially enjoyable - go at night so you appreciate the London skyline when its lit up - however, the last two occassions (both within the last year) the novelty had obviously worn off and it felt like a very pricey experience considering the quality and quantity of the food. Wine was ereally expensive too, although in truth it was good quality vino. However, I wouldn't say 'Don't go', just be prepared to pay more than in most restaurants in that range. I prefer 'Avenue' in St James, although they don't have the views.........

That's what you say but .....

@D- Roast is very nice, food is very good and of course you can sit a gaze out of the window at Monmouth coffee

Afterwards pop across to Vinopolis for a touch of wine tasting, then back to a one of the many "local" hotels  fine a night cap and cuddles

Late breakfast in the morning on the Thames somewhere like the Chop house @ Butlers Wharf

PS. Be sure to have good champagne on ice in the room and flowers natch!

Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

One of our directors has taken 2 of our clients (Mancunian ladies) twice (at the same time). Apparently they loved it. But then they are from Manchester.

    FFS!

Does remind me of one one of my favourite jokes where the wedding guests at the reception are chiding the groom trying to get out of him the strangest place he's had sex with his new wifey.
