I don't think he needs to change teams. He has a year or two to learn from Flecha befpre he becomes the leader, unless of course EBH suddenly fulfills his "potential" in these races.
WTF is going on. ??
Put Geraint in a Classics Team and he will develop to Top Class. IMO
Look at Chavanel he almost had the dream he wanted by changing to a "Know How Team" with more to come from him.
I think QS would be a shock for Geraint and not a good one. 1 training camp in Jan, then "see you on Oman yeah? Don't forget to book the flights!"
Sky seem to be making good progress with their riders and tactics.
I've been a big critic of theirs last year, but they've been one of the more successful teams this classics season with ostensibly less talent.0 -
I thought Sky rode an excellent Flanders, bar the final 500 metres.0

I thought he had "Bonked" on the road to Geraardsbergen and was recovering in the Town.
He kept an eye on the chasers and just as they made the "catch" on the Muur he took off again.
Your link shows that the full power came on for him to make a good climb without any grovelling but he couldn't escape all of them this time.Organiser, National Championship 50 mile Time Trial 19720 -

I like watching the sportif riders trying to ride the cobbled climbs. Check out this guy on the Koppenberg, he makes it, but all the other riders in his way....

The only way I'd be caught walking on the koppenberg would be because I'm going back to the bottom to have another go. And possibly to get a run up.point your handlebars towards the heavens and sweat like you're in hell0

"There were still too many dangerous riders such as Van Avermaet or Boom, that were gaining time on Sylvain. I couldn't just sit there and watch them do it. Anyway, if I had sat back in the pack, I would have been blamed, too. I repeat: On Sunday, I did not commit any mistake, I just did my job!"

Didn't I say that Boonen refuses to admit he's ever wrong in the Chinny ego thread?0 -
