Devastation across the nation
It has that same feel about it as watching the twin towers situation just destruction happening before your eyes and a feeling of helplessness for all those caught up in it . Along with more to come as it moves across the Pacific.
Sympathy goes out to all involvedI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Bloomin heck, according to Wikipedia its the 7th largest quake ever recorded
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Senda ... nd_tsunami
Looking at the Richter Scale thing is even more scary
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_magnitude_scale
Just amazing that the reported deaths are so low at present, hopefully the Japanese really know what they are doing when it comes to building inan earthquake prone area.Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out, faceless people watching on a TV screen.....0 -

what surprises me is that there has been no discussion of this in the Road or the Commuting sections yet."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I don't go over there.
If we had earthquakes etc over here, it may well benefit us espcially the DH riders... Mountains could appear out of erm nowhere.0 -

I'm sure someone there will threaten to Dlock a motorist who got washed in front of him before too long.
What will spoil their fun though is all the traffic lights will be down so they can't have a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 page debate on RLJ.I don't do smileys.

This site is pretty nifty in terms of giving a breakdown on everythingFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
It's all gone a bit Manga, half submerged nuclear reactors and unstoppable waves bobbing recently pristine Toyotas. Dolphin and whales are fighting back maybe?0

As silver linings go, that's pretty tenuous.

They are also blaming the moon for it (citing evidence from an astrologer...not the people who actually know about stuff)

For a second there, I was about to interject and add that the moon does indeed have an effect on tidal strengths, and maybe these people had got it right...
THEN, I read the first two lines of your link0 -
Tis really bad...
Oddly, gas and elec prices went down a bit today though
However, expect them to shoot up very soon and stay even higher - almost all suppliers pulled their offers this morning :x0 -

Yeah it's mental. The problem is though you'll have people reading that who perhaps know the moon has something to do with the tides (though perhaps not the ins and outs) and then take the article as gospel. No doubt they'll then try and claim the moon is in cahoots with Islam and black people.Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -

cool I'll use that mr frosty site when dealing with the fail.

the problem with the nuclear reactor could get messy. If you don't know, I'll explain. Water wasn't going through a cooling system in a nuclear power station on a reactor. They tried to to use the emergency off switch, but it didn't work. So its overheating and they can't stop it, not good.
It really is amazing the sheer power of the earthquake and tsunami. I'm glad the death toll is so low though.0 -

Death toll so far estimated at 1,000. Probably going to be much higher.Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
