See in my eyes I see this in a similar way...I am proud to be British, and also proud that I want to keep it's identity...I am adult enough to have the opinion that I don't want these sponging, theiving fuckbags in my country who use human rights as an excuse for money food and a roof over thier heads....I feel displaced in some area's if the fact I do not feel safe walking through then as some religions seem to claim that area for themselves, and am terrified that some foreign laws will be intergrated in to the UK system because we do not want to upset anyone...ok in a way I agree some do no harm, the wants that turn to crime and threaten our own should fack off.....oh and Al Murray for PM....lets keep Britain Great !!!0 -

No, I really don't think you do, but since you can't see it, I'll spell it out for you: your opinions are oafish, mean-spirited, xenophobic and fearful.
You live on an island that has constantly benefited, economically and socially, from wave after wave of immigrants. They have brought culture, music, cuisine, art, science and technology. They have built our towns, dug our canals, laid our railways and poured the concrete and asphalt of our motorways. They have settled down, bought homes, raised families. Britain has benefited enormously from being a welcoming place for migrants.
Yet, on the strength of your fear of what you don't understand, and of nonsense you have picked up from somewhere ("terrified that some foreign laws will be integrated in to the UK system" - where did you get that from?) you believe we should turn our backs on one of the things that has made this a great country, abandon our obligations under international law and become the scared, cringing island full of sheep the right-wing would love us to be.
Nothing makes a people easier to control than fear. Instil fear, and give them a simple enemy and people will put up with anything. Ultimately, they will not question as their neighbours are made to wear stars and they will help load them on to the cattletrucks.
Swallowing the belief that one part of humanity is to be feared just because of who they are is the first step towards submitting to fascism. You should be embarrassed to have given in to fear so easily.John Stevenson0 -

i think being a bit of a xenophobe is quite some distance from blindly looking past a load of jews being carted into a train :roll:0 -
I think a big part of the problem is the wholly negative perception a lot of people have for asylum seekers. The phrase is only ever used in a sneering way by the gutter press and that causes people to forget that a true asylum seeker is an individual human being fleeing one sort or another of oppression, the kind of oppression that most of us in the west are lucky enough never to experience. The Daily Mail will always pounce on any story that casts asylum seekers in any sort of negative light. I think if they aren't fascist now, they are certainly heading in that direction.0

I think all foreigners should be deported - Normans, Angles, Saxons, Vikings, Romans. Scroungers the whole lot of them.I don't do smileys.

I am not embarrassed at all and I am quite proud that I want to protect Britain and it's identity...I do not want spongers here and blame the system, 20 years ago I had never heard of fundementalist's, preachers of hate etc...we let people in willy nilly, if they are genuine asylum seekers from a country that we oppose what is going on there then fine, but when things return to normality send them back. I like some Northen towns that have been taken over mainly by past migrants that have made a town there own, they do not want to intergrate into the UK way of life, and if you my friend was to walk through these towns or cities at night you would feel intimidated.....to me this is wrong. If they want to come here they live by our rule and laws, they should be made to speak English and made to intergtrate....if they tred over the line then deport them..
Any way Merry Winter Wishes...(don't think in some areas we can say Christmas-just in case we offend anyone-live by our rules and respect our way of life, as we would do if we visit another country)0 -

Things like that are happening in the U.K. I can't remember the exact laws being passed but they do happen.
In Austria where I live, there is a huge flood of sponging Turkish people flowing into the country since their now part of the EU. They live on social benefits, do not work, and buy themselves mercedes benzes and put themselves in crappy apartments, and have more kids to get more money. They are now trying to lobby to have Turkish adopted as a main langauge of the country instead of just German. Are you going to try to tell me that is not rediculous?
How about another example, shall we? Turkish people are muslims, so not eating any pig products is part of their religion, and eating it for them is disgraceful. Many school are having problems with the kids who come from Turkey shaming the Austrian kids for eating pork, calling them pig eaters, and making them feel alienated in their own schools. Many schools are now having to ban pork products from schools because of a muslim outrage, even though they are in OUR country.
You may be blind to what's happening. Imimigration is good, but not once the people coming try to change the country and morals and culture into the one of where they came from. This is happening in the U.S. with Mexicans, Austria with Turks, and quite a few other countrys.
You may be all for "free borders" and free cultural movement, but it does get ot a point. If i'm being shamed in my own country for living the way WE live, the immigrants with the problems should fark off quite frankly.0 -

So you are not really against people living in countries they weren't born in, as long as they aren't Mexicans, Turks, or anyone Muslim?

Sharia was one, plus the many trying to convert us to islam....right how is is right that we will deny a British citizen the right to a life saving operation or drugs when they have made contributions to the state for many years (a neighbour of mine passed away a few years ago because the primary care trust would not pay for the drugs) but we will hand cash out to asylum seekers and imigrants.....

Firstly, Sharia law does not apply in the UK.
Secondly, while I feel sorry for your neighbour, you have built a strawman. (Google it).
Thirdly, the opinions of a bunch of nutty Christians on the topic of nutty Muslims is not going to convince me of anything.I don't do smileys.

Come to think of it, all the people who are worried about Muslims could just smear themselves with bacon fat.
I might have to patent that - bacon smelling, Muslim repelling deodorant.

Yes but if you read my earlier post I stated that they "would like it" intergrated into our law system (read the link). Strawman...bollocks...this has been in the news throughout the year (various cases) as for strawman google it came up with Wurzle Gummidge....0 -

I followed your link - it links to a bunch of young earth creationists - read some of their other pages - they believe the earth is "5,680 (± 2,000) years" old, that evolution is a myth, that dinosaurs were still alive a few thousand years ago. I read their crap - did you?
I think I'll give any other links of yours a miss.I don't do smileys.

No I have no problem with Immigration, i'm all for it. It does do wonders, what i'm saying I am against is the peoiple who come and abuse the system because they know they can get an easier life wherever they go, with free money from the government, and if they need more money, fark it have another kid. I am against immigration when it comes to a point where the immigrants are trying to change the culture of the country they are now in to the one they left, and are shaming the natural born citizens of there for living their own culture in their own country.0 -

But how many people are abusing the system, and how many are genuinely fleeing? I feel sorry for the people who can't see asylum seekers as people fleeing things like this and only thing of their tax bill, it's inhuman.
Pudsey, the rest of the stuff you've said is so delusional that I'm struggling to believe you're best mates with Al Murray. The 'pub landlord' character is a tool for taking the pish out of Sun reading, Stella drinking, foreigner hating types btw, if you find yourself agreeing with him then he's laughing at you.
As for all of your denial, that's pretty strong stuff, I have to repeat posts to get you to even notice the links, and when you do open them, your brain tells you that it doesn't work just because it disagrees with your views, I think you should get some help with regards to that.
Oh, and the Sharia law thing is for family/civil disputes between muslims, if both parties agree then they can use a sharia court, overseen by an imam to sort out the dispute, rather than using our civil courts. BOTH PARTIES have to agree and it DOES NOT replace our courts and DOES NOT apply to criminal cases. The same system has been in place for years for the Jewish community. Beth Din I think it's called.
As for protecting the "British culture", that is real BNP/EDL stuff, nice...Oh yeah, and christmas HAS NOT BEEN BANNED. It was banned in the 1640s, by Christians, but never since. Stop lying. Lying for xenophobia is still lying.0 -

Immigration has always happened and has shaped our culture into what it is presently. I wonder if you had people 2,000 years ago going "Bloody Romans coming here and building us roads and taking our women!"
Now I'm off to the immigration office to tell them I'm not a paedophile (obviously not...you don't get British criminals) so they will let me stay. Last time I went they said they didn't recognise the Scottish judicial system (or even know we had a different one) so shall be fun. Bloody foreigners...Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0
