    My GOD!

Just read the whole 17 pages and this is WTF-inducing for sure.

Their story of damage having been caused by a crash does not have any coherence. Maybe if they are a company/group on its last legs I would maybe understand their actions. The woman who has presumably added the police to all this is an individual - but it's just plain silly as it is her (maybe was) job to talk to customers and provide information.

If not, then there are some MAJOR, MAJOR cretins present in the ABG.

"Only" getting a repair seems a bit of an anti-climax after all they put you through, providing the warranty is there for cases like yours. As I say - maybe understandable if they are on their last legs, but only if so.

Is it me or have Merlin and Litespeed dropped out of the latest C+ buyers guide? - only had a quick glance last night.

Not trying to open a can of worms here as I rank in the very satisfied Merlin owners ranks :D

The buyers guide listing goes from Merida to Moda with no mention of Merlin and Lapierre to Look, again, no mention of Litespeed.

    Probably nothing in it.

    Well......................:D

My Merlin Cielo arrived home this morning, fully repaired, well packaged and at no cost to me.

The new welds look very good and I'll post pictures in the next day or so.

I'm looking forward to getting it back on the road.

    Thanks everyone.

Yes, it was all I wanted and all I was promised when I sent it back for repair.

It just took a little longer than expected and a lot of help from everyone on here and other forums.

    Wow...congrats infopete!

I've been following this thread from the start and can't believe its taken so long and 18 pages to get a result!
Excellent news mate and beautiful looking frame.

To ABG......what an absolute waste of time, effort and your companies reputation in sorting out a simple warranty claim. What a bunch of fools.

Well done infopete, glad you have your frame back.

I agree with you in that if you ever have an issue with it again I'd just pay someone else to repair it and never have to deal with Absolute Bloody Gonads again..

See what I did there... :D
  • Good news InfoPete, post us all a photo of the rebuilt frame!

Well done ABG.....you will now forever be known as Arrogant Bunch (of) Gits.

Oh and regarding the weather, please let it warm up soon - a bit tired of going out on the winter bike now and want to try out my Dolan some more :)
Summer - Dolan Tuono with Sram Force and Dura-Ace 7850 CL Carbon wheels
Winter - old faithful Ribble winter bike

The headtube is untouched as there was nothing wrong with it.

The two drop-outs have been welded, nice job too :)

    I'll post pics soon.

So now that it's been fixed and returned, how about giving us details of the crash that broke it? 8)

My last crash was before my daughter was born and she is 24 the one before that was when I was 20 on the bend into Bonchester Bridge.

My Merlin has never been crashed and if you took the time to look at the pics you could see that. :)

Pete Looking at the pictures I can see once again why you wanted it repaired its a great looking frame.
As for the Head Stock repair and given your insistance there was never a problem there I cannot help nut be cynical because it just justifies their initial reluctance in repairing it.
But hey ho we have all given them some stick over the weeks so we should at least praise them for finally repairing it and at the end of the day it may have been just one bureaucrat in the company that caused the problem.
Shame you are off skiing as next week as I have heard it is going to be tropical here so we will all be out on our bikes.
