I may send a pre-recorded video message - like the lazy or decrepid guests on 'This is Your Life'.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Can't do 10/12, but the other two work. 26/11 would be ideal.

And dmclite what's all this talk of behaving?
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

    What's the deal then?

I'll read the thread tonight and post the plans by this weekend.

I thought all of us who live in London are unfriendly? That's what I read in cake stop anyway...

I never said it wouldn't involve some casual violence

    Edit:

That comes across a little strong. I am joking...

I am busy on the 19th Nov but could probably do the 26th Nov or 10th Dec.

    Okie dokie.

26'th looks like it might be the best date for many people, so shall we say that's it then?

Venue : While it's easy to say City I'm conscious that we have some folks from Reading making the trip etc so perhaps somewhere closer to the West End would be better?

We could start meeting from around 18:00, have a few drinks / shoot the breeze and then perhaps have a bit later on.

    Oh! Behave!
  • i'm heading back up north to civilisation on that friday, so will miss this, but the consolation of a lovely cheap first class ticket i have will go some way to make up for the sparkly conversation/curry/casual violence i will miss!

Cool. I don't mind meeting in the City, if it keeps you Gordon Gecko types in your comfort zone...

I arrive back from Seattle on the afternoon so I won't be up to socialising that evening I'm afraid.

    Can't say I blame you.

Seattle or the other side of Lake Washington?

Some daftly steep hills in downtown Seattle. Nice city though. Great views from some roads if you get a clear day.

I'm going to have to wear a suit to live up to the image.

I was thinking perhaps Melton Mowbray on High Holborn. It's right next to Chancery Lane tube station and not terribly pretentious.

Great place. Unfortunately 24 hours isn't really long enough to appreciate it. Even better views from 10000 feet on the way in and I get a window seat :)

    I'll be there from 17:30.

If you're coming, ping me a PM and I'll give you my mobile number.
