Clever move. Roche can bridge across later and then use him as a springboard to attack.

They've only got three riders. This lot will be caught with 100km to go, at least. If you want to create a bridge do it with 60-70km to go.
I was being sarcastic, sorry I forgot the smiley

    Ok. Fair enough..

With no radios allowed, I can see the peleton totally ballsing it up and letting the break get too far ahead before trying to reel them in. We all know cyclists can't think for themselves. 8)

    6 minute lead now

THis is the part of the coverage where you can make up your own commentary and Hugh has gone for a fag break.

Over 4 mins now for the break.
I was going to ask if there was any commemtary: I've just switched on & can hear the helicopter; traffic noise & folk talking without being able to hear what they're saying... It's slightly surreal/amazingly dull.....

Ha ha!! Not sure whether it's an improvement or not, though....

Why's the Serbia rider speaking to the Team GB car? & where's Harmon to answer these questions?

You are 100% correct sir  he's a nice chap but the names are often wrong and he's a touch too tackcentric for road commentry.

    I like Norway. Thor's kit.

And the Swiss kit of Cancelara - partly 'cause it's made by Assos.
  • At least the leaders are going pretty fast. The favourites are probably worried about the wind

Would be better if you could hear more of what the riders are saying to each other. Inside scoop of what it's really like in the pro peleton.

I say Ukraine, I think it is anyway, the black jersey with the big yellow graphic on the back.

WTF is up with the Serbian dude? He's 8.5 minutes behind the break!! No chance of catching. 4 mins up on the peleton. Leaders are getting close to 13 mins ahead now!

Haven't seen it this year but I always like the Sky blue of Belgium as I've never known how they ended up in it. You'd expect it to look more like the national champion jersey.

Maybe he's part of the 'unofficial', Team Cav, and he's not doing what he's been paid for.

Things could get tricky with the bunch on the finishing circuit, they could start lapping the bunch.

You'd think Porter would be able to pick out the team of a rider he can't stop talking about, the silence didn't last anywhere near long enough.

Commisaires would have to stop the peleton in that case and let them ride through

I'm in two minds. Peleton is asleep so don't feel too inclined
to stay the course. Est finish time @ 6.30, I reckon picking
it back up at 5.00 would make sense.
