Ah Whinlatter, love it. Hard to pick a favourite final decent between the 2 loops, the South loop goes on and on and on and on and on but the adrenaline rush of doing the North loop final decent for the first time and going round the switchback only to see a sheer drop and cacking my pants as I was going too fast was funny as hell.0 -

I agree! I think if I had to choose I would say I preferred the north descent slightly. Getting air off the rollers when there is a huge drop on the one side is quite an experience! The climb earlier on is a bit scary too-I wasnt paying attention and nearly lost my front wheel over the edge.
Out of all the trail centres ive done, Whinlatter is definately one of the best.0 -
Not my picture, but Winnat's Pass in Derbyshire peaks. Makes road riding fun (almost) and is the gateway to some amazing offroad rides at Edale:

Remember driving up Winnats Pass, some bugger on a road bike trying to get up it.

A few recent pictures from the last few weeks.
A stag party (honestly!) on the coast.
A little exposed bit of singletrack on the coast.
Looking down on the next bit of the trail through the trees. (It's in B&W-ish but I want to return here and photograph this when the trees are all autumnal.)

Someone will probably moan that this doesn't want to make them ride.
Sometimes it's just about being outside looking at a view.

Llanberis path is grippy as hell even in the wet. It's pretty much completly straight and all the rocks are at good right angles to the track. Just try not to brake and hold on!0

I'm not too up on my photography but i'd have thought unless you're using filters then shooting into the sun is always going to be tricky to get a decent image.
Doug - as usual, stunning photos. The first place I'm visiting when I win the lottery tomorrow is the Basque region.0
