Left the house at 7:15, 13 miles on my brand new bike (first ride apart from a few hundred yards in jeans in front of the house) and back in time for breakfast after realising my bum needs to toughen up before I can get back up the 50 milers I did on my hybrid!

Bideford to Topsham - 53 miles across the heart of Devon, 4,400ft ascent/descent, glorious weather, tailwind. I can't really class such a glorious ride as training though.0

30 Mile loop out to Pateley Bridge and back, very sunny, nearly empty roads and the few drivers who passed gave me lots of room. Lots of ups and downs. I must buy one of those bikes with gears soon or I'll forget how to use them.0

Yesterday morning at 07:30am (Sunday) I did hill training as it was nice and sunny with a glorious temperature between warm and cool There was few cars apart from the end of my route which is in a town center anyhow.
However, I felt like sh*te and struggled the first half, decided to cut short and only done 33 miles. By the afternoon I was fully recovered and wanting to go out again, but with the Vuelta and F1 on telly, the potato couch in me won....I feel so guiltyCAAD9
