Fair enough, why not if you can. It will obviously put him nearer the front and more time between him and Lance.Life is like a roll of toilet paper; long and useful, but always ends at the wrong moment. Anon.
Think how stupid the average person is.......
half of them are even more stupid than you first thought.0 -
Will all the naysayers - and I'm definitely looking at you Pokerface - who thought Wiggins should pack his bags and come home after Saturday like to rethink their position?0

He COULD do it is all I'm saying.
your right bro.. HE has ridden the Giro this year so probably not as fresh as he would like to be. Maybe it will be an advantage for him.. Who knows.. If anyone deserves to win a tour its Evans..0 -

Harmon - Contador is BEHIND Armstrong with 10kms to go ?
Liggett and TEAM Sherwin were probably hoping that contador would get his ars kicked by the Texan messiah - those 2 are a bunch of phanny's
Go and take your americanisms with you
Are you and deejay related, by any chance?0 -
At least Contador and Evans and Wiggins and Andy from what I saw were burying themselves. Lance looked good bridging some I think but saw him smiling not grimacing.
Real shame for Frank - Andy will DEFINITELY miss him in the mountains. Really pleased with Evans. Contador will have to go pretty damn hard in the mountains to take him out.
Unfortunate for Basso, I wanted him to get 2nd so hope he is able to make time back.
At the end of the day there is still a long way to go and many opportunities to take time.
Sorry for Chavanel to lose yellow (he said he was very tired) but in an odd way it is quite good as Cancellara would most likely have been in yellow yesterday.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Great ride by Contador . Not sure what happened at he end when he lost a bit of time , puncture ?The UCI are Clowns and Fools0
-
'You decide your moment. You shift three gears nice and smooth - toc toc toc. Then you have to think like a time trialist. Get everything out - bam bam bam.' Cancellara
Did he attack or did he simply engage the power when the crash happened.
It would have been better for the fans if the best climbers were father down.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Is this a rule they can use if you puncture in the last km?0 -
A mechanical in the final 3km isn't the same as a crash. Pretty sure the rules state your time is only protected if it's a crash, not a flat tyre.0

Doesn't seem to fit with the rules. The usual rule is because other riders can impede your ability to reach the finish line because it's a closed section with fences. His flat doesn't come into play.0 -

If you crash or get a mechanical, you get the time of the group you were in, so yeah. It depends if he got a mechanical or just cramped up...0 -

if there is a split in the last 3k on a flat stage you get the same time as the group right?0

TheHelpfulDevil wrote:if there is a split in the last 3k on a flat stage you get the same time as the group right?
Think it depends on what caused the split...0 -
TheHelpfulDevil wrote:if there is a split in the last 3k on a flat stage you get the same time as the group right?
Not if there's just a normal split because of the racing speed, no.0 -
My bad - it DOES cover mechanicals:
In the event that a rider or riders suffer a fall, puncture or mechanical incident in the last 3 kilometres and such an incident is duly recognised, the rider or riders involved are credited with the same finishing time of the rider or riders they were with at the time of the incident. The are attributed this ranking only upon crossing the finish line. If after a fall, it is impossible for a rider to cross the finish line, he is given the ranking ranking of last in stage0 -

From the official rulesDo you have any Therapeutic Use Exemptions?
No. Never have.
Never? What about the cortisone?
Well, obviously there was the cortisone0 -
Beat you to it!0
-
Well in that case, Contador should get the same time as Vino, no? Unless he just cramped.0

Damn you PokerfaceDo you have any Therapeutic Use Exemptions?

Contador:
« J’ai eu un problème avec ma roue arrière et cela s’est détérioré au fil de la course, a reconnu l’Espagnol. Tous les leaders ont eu des problèmes aujourd’hui. Mais par rapport à eux, je ne m’en sors pas trop mal. »
Translated as: I had a problem with my rear wheel and it deteriorated as the race went on. All the leaders had problems today. But compared to them I came off quite well.Contador is the Greatest0 -
What might have happened is:
Contador radioed in that he had a flat and his DS (Martinelli) told Vino to drill it and told Contador to just make a big scene about it ie. wavehis arms like he is angry etc sothat everyone knows he puncture and he would therefor get the same time as Wiggo, Vino et al
Just a possibilityDo you have any Therapeutic Use Exemptions?

EBH 4mins down on that stage. Was really expecting him to be pulling Wiggins like Cancellara for Andy and Vino for Contador.Contador is the Greatest0

Well if the mechanical started well before the last 3Km he shouldn't get the same time? Like a foul that starts outside the box isn't a penalty...___________________
