Yup, but after surviving all those cobbles, he'll fall over getting off the bus and break something.

I was just gonna say that. At least he won't have to wait for him in the mountains now, however Frank has looked really good coming into the race.

    Armstrong 2'30" down

    Vino 9" ahead of Contador...

Nearly the GC contenders took time off Armstrong, except Basso who lost about 20 seconds.

Lance loses a minute to Contador, when he had hoped to take three.........

  • So how much time do people think Sparticus would have now if he had pushed on yesterday?

i think LA willbe a tad disappointedwith that, he must have thought he would have been ableto put more time into Bertie, not end up losing time to him.

Does Phil Liggett noticing Contador's puncture before everyone else make up for the fact they kept banging on about Thomas becoming the first Welshman to lead the Tour?

I have to say, after they were sooooo giving it the big 'un about unseating Contador on this stage it is absolutely fantastic to see Radioshack get their asses well and truly kicked.

Talk the talk boys, but don't forget to walk the walk...

That said, good ride by Lance once he'd used every molecule of Popo's strength.

    No.

How about when the comedy duo were banging on about some historical landmark, whilst on screen several riders had hit the Tarmac (pre cobbles).

After about 10 secs Phil finally says 'there's been a crash!'

Don't know if it's been said, but Evans could actually win the Tour with that sort of lead over Bertie now. Makes a big difference to previous years when he was usually behind chasing time.

You reckon AC won't gain time on Evans over the Alps and the Pyrenees  ?

Excellent ride by Evans but he isn't going to beat AC in the GC to Paris, not unless AC falls off.

well its going to be Bertie and Vino vs the rest - They look in a very strong position now.. If Bertie does what he did last year and use that kick of his then I can see him bringing the time back easy

I've seen Evans stick with Contador in the mountains before. I've also seen him lose big chunks of time.

He COULD do it is all I'm saying.

Apparently contador is waiting for the judges to see if he can claim back the 20 seconds due to it being in th last km.

Didn't he pass away earlier in the year? What's he doing there? :P

Geraint in white. Nice. Is he the first British rider to wear that jersey? I've no idea.

Honest to god - Sherwin Liggett and Harmon must be watching on a different tv

Harmon - Contador is BEHIND Armstrong with 10kms to go ?

Liggett and TEAM Sherwin were probably hoping that contador would get his ars kicked by the Texan messiah - those 2 are a bunch of phanny's

Go and take your americanisms with you
