    Gongratulations Thor. He is very pleased.

    Nice job Wiggins for being 2nd group even though he had no support.

    Just heard that Thor has asked for the stage to be neutralized - too many crashes.

    Evans has a minut on the GC over Betie.
    Schleck has a few seconds.
    Contador flatted and Vino chose not to see it!

    Cav might be a powerhouse, but I have to think Thor's the better cyclist. EVERY day he seems to miraculously be up there and never hurt by the crashes. Impressive. And if yesterday's points hadn't been neutralized, Thor would be leading the points by something around 50 points today.

    but vino did the right thing to carry on. No point in two riders being down on GC because of a puncture..

    With this and the strade bianchi stage of the Giro... makes climbing mountains look fairly boring in comparison. More please, GT organisers.

    Yup - on the basis that, (to paraphrase Martin Brundle's comment on Ralf Schmacher some years back), "its hard to be the best racer in the world when you're not even the best racer in your own house"

    Really, Lance losing only 53 seconds to Contador is impressive. He powered his way back to the group in front of him to limit losses.

    In no order, i'd say impressive rides from:

    * Fabian
    * Andy
    * Evans
    * Contador (powered his way to the group in front)
    * Armstrong
    * Hesjedal
    * Thomas
    * Popovych (worked HARD for Lance)
