Spoke too soon, he missed the GC move. No surprises. Sastre not there either. Top ten shake up too if the lead is decent.

I think Noddy Sorensen may be caught before the top

Not sure about Garzelli... all the time he's not dared be further back than second row, so maybe he's worried about missing a move and not having the strength to get back.

It would be cool if Evans gave it a burst on the banjo as they say in cycling terms

Oh good. Glad to see Wiggins did give it some effort and didn't just ride tempo with the guys behind.

Hats off to the Colnago guy. Tondo looked good - I would like to see him take a stage.

No legs for Moncoutie - I thought he was going for the Mountains classification.

Bit of an anticlimax after yesterday.

I found that all very underwhelming. Favourites not really testing each other.

Mind you, they must have been knackered after yesterday.

    Evans rode smart there...

He should take the red jersey after this stage I think

leaky gas had the cards to play and couldn't do it...they rode the whole stage for a neutralized finale. which may be due to yesterdays stage..

evans rode expending the min energy poss and kept his options open

vino was near the limit is my guess

Bassos attack was underwhelming indeed...hasn't got it

cut a deal with Garmin...he didn't contest the minor places just covered the gap

Not exactly exciting stuff but a few riders went out the back, plus the likes of Tondo are coming to the fore.

Predictably, no real fireworks today. Glad some of the break survived.

    Congratulations to Sorensen. Great ride.

Disappointed with the GC riders. Was expecting Basso to wake up today but his attacks were pretty weak (if he thought he was going to drop anyone, anyways). Nice ride by Tondo too.

its a climb that should suit Basso but he couldn't deliver

We need to remember the race is only a week old, with a savage final week. After yesterday not many people would want to push on.

Basso showed he could accelerate quicker than last year. But I think the pace was quite high in the faves group - Not many climbing dom's in there.

Ideal for everyone for Vino to be in pink actually. He looks like he'll suffer when it gets really hard.

did LA really claim TOC is the 2nd most important race in the world after the Tour?

he sez this stuff just to get a rise I reckon...
