Please don't make him stop, this is Bhima gold. My toes curl for the guy, just really want him to race and give it a go. His waffle on here really is entertaining.

    Never gonna happen.

Good point. Seems a waste to spend 52 days in the saddle and yet not race.:wink:

Get your butt out there and take your share of abuse like the rest of us.

He wanted to do the last one but couldn't due to not being in a club.

but then he's been saying that since last season so you could be right.

What's with everyone's fascination with racing though, you know, there's nothing wrong with training for the sake of training (sometimes masturbation is better than the real thing, to go back to the earlier analogy.)

Why would not being in a club stop him doing a CLUB event?

Most clubs allow non-club members to have at least one free go.

That's interesting and probably wrong in that the club could easily register a rider as a member or could be running their events as a 'come and try' I think it's called.

Your club has a lot of members or is not interested in promoting the sport?

maybe they could, but they dont. I dont make the rules, just abide by them.

We have a 40 rider maximum field which we got last week.

    fair enough.

Out of interest, what's the reason for the 40 rider limit?

I'd guess time - last rider goes off at 19.39, so they finish before it gets dark/organisers want to go home?

Yup its to do with proximity to lighting up time or sunset I think. It is possible to set riders off at 30s intervals, but Police aren't keen on that always happening + it usually means you need more timekeepers.

Oh and if you're not a member, just join on the day or something. Its not exactly that expensive (£10-20)!

Judging by Bhima's apparently performance on these threads he'd probs do like 22mins for a 10 maybe faster.
