1635 for the front - and that's as fitted to the bike (tyre, tube, Skewer, disc + rotor)
2096 for the rear - again, as fitted to the bike (tyre, tube, skewer, disc, rotor + cassette)

Could be lighter, but I'm quite happy with the current set up.

Disc & rotor? ...disc and rotor are the same thing

    AM Bike: 1930g

I'm too fat to get away with the really light stuff. If I was light enough I would break it anyway.

Mavic Crossmax Enduro are about 1700g for the pair.

Where do you get those Eclipse innertubes? I can't find them anywhere online.

Bontrager Rhythm Comps weight in at 1915g a pair according to their specs... not bad really, to get any significant reduction i'd have to spend quite alot.

my rear wheel is 845g naked...

But it is quite a light setup, dt xr 4.2d, hope hub, 32 3x sapim cx-ray spokes.

It'd be lighter if it hadn't been painted white!

I still have an ancient lx on 217 with dt revs. About 690g for the front, lasted 1000s of miles.

1000's of miles on road/towpaths/rollers? Ridden by a 3 stone dwarf with one leg? Those old LX axle's were like cheese.

So you know exactly what LX hub I had then from that...

It had a hardened cromo axle like many of the SHimano hubs from the 90s and was given a good thrashing around wharncliffe.

Hows about next time you post you have a bit of respect.

How about next time you post something vague you be open to critical banter?

No you were taking the piss based on nothing at all. If as vague as you say, then you have no stance on it. You contradict yourself.

The hub was a front M563.

So don't do it again, and post constructively next time.

With all due respect it was constructive. Saying something has lasted X miles means nothing. How it was used and abused over the time means so much more.

e.g. My old hope Ti Glide has lasted 2 winters in sub zero conditions. A two week trip Lhasa to Kathmandu, and 300 miles commuting a year without fail for 5 years without a service!

    or..

My old LX hub has lasted thousands of miles.

If you wanted it clarifying, do so in a manner that is not that of some child who tries to score points with petty little jabs.

    What spokes? Nipples?

No need to try and be pedantic to score points. Hope hoops are a pre built in limited rim options: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=15900

FYI the hubs are Hope Pro 2's but marked 'Hope Hoops'.

    It was an example... but...

    So...

    What spokes? Nipples?

I honestly can't see from that. Doesn't seem to state it on the page. Unless I press buy and get another option, but does not seem to be a standard spoke. Hence my question.

C'mon man. Listen to yourself. Who ever questioned the exact manufacturer spec?

    i.e you:

Mavic Crossmax Enduro are about 1700g for the pair.

XERO Cyprus are about 2000g for the pair.

    or....

    Cat with No tail

    DT Swiss, EX1750.

    or,,,,

    2009 Mavic Crossmax SX

No, neither of us did...or anyone else .It was enough information for the statement posted.

If I was out to be a pedant I could have said:

Well done Superonic for postiing some weights...but what do you run?

Just admit that what you posted could be used in ammo in jovial banter. Seriously dude...lighten up.

Enough info like number of miles in the context of the post? Lol. I was using examples afterwards.

If you meant it as some banter, fair enough, but it didn't look that way at the time. Especailly after a few sherberts.
