Anyone else up for it?
I'm getting the ferry over and Ben is kindly giving me a lift down there on Saturday 24th and we're going to have a day riding the trails and testing the limits of our new bikes. Well, when I say we, Ben will be testing the limits of his bike, I will probably mostly be falling off and wobbling about a bit.
This is going to be my first ever trip to a "real" trail centre so I'm sure there will be much hilarity from me being amazed by every little detail, and of course, the falling off.
If we're really lucky, this weather will hold out and it'll be a nice day.
So, anyone else fancy a day out?

Yep, I'll have mine too. If I can get both of them working I'll bring both, if not it'll be just the one. Just made an awesome mount for it too, can be switched between helmet, bars and frame in about 10 seconds.0 -

Don't worry about that, pace will be that of the slowest rider (probably me).
C'mon, you know you want to. It's going to be a blast!0 -

I'll try to get there as I missed the last forum ride. Though I didn't think that much of the place to be honest when I was riding there a couple of weeks when the snow was last here. The surface was very "samey" and as a result there wasn't any real interest in the riding.
A group ride around there should be fine.I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

I might be there on the 24th! It's either Llandegla, or Betws-y-coed, although I don't (as yet) know where to go at Betws... :roll:Early Orange 5, Felt Z85, Scott Thicko, modified Giant full suss (both nicked)- beat-up single-speed rigid 1992 Saracen (scrapped), and various 2-wheelers with big engines0

I was there on Saturday with Phoebian and Caz, myy first time at Llandegla and I loved it enough to do 2 laps of he Red (don't get too excited the Red is only 11 miles, we're not talking Dalbyesque distances here). I don't think I'll get my pass stamped for a second day out this month even though the 24th is my birthday (thought I'd get that in).

Get yersel out on your birthday then!!
Should also point out that Ben and myself will be doing the black, but hopefully we'll have enough people there to split into 2 groups at the top of the red if anyone forgets their brave pills .
Also, I've never been myself, but I am informed that the black is easy enough to be able to roll most of it if you need to.0 -
been loads. id say the black is easier than some reds ive used in the past. it flows wells and has no nasty surprises. can get round the black in less than 2 hours without killing myself.Viner Salviati

Aye the black isn't too technical
Most things can be rolled or bypassed so you can take it at your own pace... i've seen guys on retro rigids manage it quite easily
I think there is 1 major bitch of a climb (that I usually push up ) so I wouldn't worry about that!0 -
Don't think I will be able to make it, due to going on course next week.0
